Vom iPhone auf Fairphone 4 mit #e_OS gewechselt. Erst als Zweithandy dann seit 2 Wochen als Ersthandy. Bin total begeistert. Arbeite mit Nextcloud für die üblichen Synchrobedarfe.

Hallo an alle #fairphone6 #eos #e_os Nutzenden. Ich möchte mir das neueste Faiphone mit E/OS zulegen.
Frage mich aber, ob die 50 Euro Aufpreis für die #Murena Version es Wert sind, oder ob ich die Installation selbst wagen soll.
An diejenigen, die es selbst installiert haben, wie gefährlich/umständlich ist es?
Hab öfters gelesen, dass es ein ziemliches gefricke ist.
Über Tipps und Überlegungen bin ich dankbar. Bin gespannt auf die nächste Angebote von Fairphone.

En ja, veel, heel veel open source user-interfaces zijn technisch georiënteerd en vereisen daardoor een handleiding. Dat zou niet moeten. Ik heb nog nooit een handleiding voor Gdrive of Gmaps gelezen, hooguit dat je een keer een tip hoorde wat er ook kan.

habe in der letzten Woche das Update auf die Version 3.4 (FP6) installiert, hat zwar etwas gedauert, verlief jedoch ohne Unterbrechungen.

@lars @pallenberg APK bringt nichts. Es wird auch verweigert, weil nicht vom Google Play Store.
Habe gerade mal bei /e/ von e.foundation ausprobiert. Da funktioniert es es - wer weiss warum?!

Remember that this is only a problem if you use a #degoogled android, like #e_os. Fairphone with the default android afaic have no problems - except carrying google play ofc ...

Jetzt die Frage nach den Apps auf dem Handy unter e/OS; vor allem in Bezug auf Browser, E-Mail, Kalender, Karten, Task- und Fotomanagement, Musik - eben alles, was so vorinstalliert ist.

Wenn ihr euch für Alternativen aussprecht, für welche? Firefox + Thunderbird? Und die anderen Kategorien?

Was mich in der Tat am meisten nervt, ist beim ausprobieren das #Display. Liegt das an der #AMOLED Technologie?

Ich fühl mich, als würde ich in den leuchtenden Rachen eines Regenbogen-kotzenden Einhorns schauen. Mit Lupe.

Das Display ist so krass Knallbonbon-mäßig, das macht kein Spaß. Kann man die Sättigung irgendwie per Software runterregeln?

Für mein #DiDay Experiment "Android-basiertes Smartphone ausprobieren" habe ich mir ja ein Nothing Phone mit #e_OS organisiert.

Nun hat der @kuketzblog in 2023 dem OS kein berauschendes (aber okayes?) Zeugnis ausgestellt. Wie stellt sich die Situation jetzt, Anfang 2026, dar? Wir sind ja inzwischen einige Versionen weiter, ist ja jemand tiefer in der Materie drin als ich?

Fairphones are nice, I have a FP3 with /e/os, which does have a 3.5mm jack, and everything woks on it, execept for unfortunate apps using google play integrity api.

Benefit of fairphones is that they are socially and environmentally friendly, and reapairable by you. Another alternative in that direction is shiftphone.

Can any #Android #LineageOS or #e_OS Users help me choose a Gargoyle-free phone, please?

I don't need games. Music, GPS satnav, WWW, Tusky for Mastodon, various utility apps such as DNS, SSH, 2TB MicroSDXC (a lot of CDs copied as .flac and a few movies, about to pass the 1TB line).

I prefer 3.5mm headphone socket for accurate lip synch, but...
I found a Fairphone 4 with /e/OS already installed, which suggests custom ROMs are OK.

No 3.5mm socket, though. If I buy a USB-C adaptor, or buy USB-C headphones, will I get sound synch'd with video?

Any hints, please?

(I'm guessing that I'll need a 2nd phone for banking apps, if it has a custom ROM)

Savez-vous s'il existe des installateurices de e/OS sur Fairphone ? Parce que si on a acheté un FP ailleurs que chez @murena ou @commownfr, que l'on souhaite se débarrasser de gogol mais qu'on n'a pas l'âme d'un.e geek, on fait comment ? Ça n'a pas l'air trivial à installer, e/OS pour le commun des mortels...
