@iju Aika paljon vaikuttaa työpöytäympäristö (jos sellaista edes on); periaatteessa varmasti komentorivin työkaluillakin (#PulseAudio / #Jack) joku osaa säätöjä tehdä, mutta helpottaa, kun on graafinen kikkare kuten kuvan #Plasma'ssa. Toisessa koneessa, jossa emolevyn äänipiirin lisäksi on vanha #SoundBlasterZ, ”profiilien” luettelo on vielä hulppeasti pidempi.

To use the new plasma login manager, install it, enable plasmalogin systemd service, disable [sddm] systemd sercie, and restart (stopping sddm will kill you session).

To use extract text from screenshots (new spectacle feature), install tesseract and tesseract-data-eng (and/or other language data). I installed tesseract-data-dan for example, result in the note bottom right. Select language(s) in the spectacle settings.

NOTE: I had initially installed a bad tesseract-data file, so I renwed this post. Text extraction works very well, also in danish!

AerynOS has landed KDE Plasma 6.6 in our Volatile repository.

So far, everything seems to be running nicely but we will keep it in our volatile repository for around a week whilst we do further testing.

Y ni 24 horas después del lanzamiento de la nueva versión de Plasma, KDE Neon ya la tiene disponible. Una vez más, aparte de lo bien que funciona esta distribución Gnu/Linux, me sorprende la rapidez con la que actualiza todo lo relacionado, con el software de KDE.

Una vez más, gracias a los responsables de mantener este sistema operativo libre y a pesar de su incierto futuro, esperemos que aún le queden muchos años por delante.

This is very, very useful - it's why I love sway. I have games or videos playing on one montor while I hop between virtual desktops on the denser 'work-stuff' display.

Waiting for KDE Plasma 6.6 to show up on Arch so I can test it out.
