With the audio fixed, the songs can be enjoyed fully....they're good. We're biased, but they really are), COMPILED THEM, AND ARE RELEASING THEM IN ONE 16 SONG DIGITAL MIX TAPE.

Why Now?

Because these are dark days.... Folk-Punk (and these songs in particular) is the psyche and the inner monologue of working class people, all the pain, stress, bullshit and exhaustion as well as the endurance, survival, and courage....the singer doesn't need to come right out and sing positive, happy or optimistic lyrics, to be singing in spite of it all is part of the message.

Music is just one of those things that helps sometimes....which is why these songs are being made available for free. It's a gift for all my brothers and sisters and non-binary fam fighting for the freedom, liberties, rights, well being, and safety of everyone right now, whether that's in the Twin Cities and Western Wisconsin, Palestine, Britain, Ukraine, Moscow, Myanmar, Sudan, Venezuela, Columbia, Mexico, Rodjava and everywhere else.

If you dig it and it helps-that's great.

If not, that's fine too. There's a lot of great music out there that's stylistically very different from anything I do. But the heart, the ethos, morality, and non-capitalistic motivations are very, very similar....and I'm sure you'll find something you like.

No todo en el mundo del ruido es encender el volca keys y ya. A veces tienes que tomártelo un poco más en serio, y grabar ruido que irá por debajo del ruido que vas a hacer.

#audacity haciendo sus cosas, entre ellas, ha convertido 30 segundos de una secuencia del #volca keys en tres pistas de #drone con una duración de 12 minutos. Estos "samples" los usaré por debajo, dando textura, y profundidad.

@jason @matt I am afraid wx accessibility on linux is not sufficient to be able to make this enjoyable. For example #audacity is wx based runs on linux and as compared with the windows build radio buttons, tree views, tables, spin buttons and perhaps other controls have accessibility and keyboard navigation issues.

Un autre enregistrement de 2020 que j'ai retrouvé.
C'est une chanson d'amour au format voix-guitare où je fais une analogie entre l'amour et une drogue.
Il y a un couplet "passion" correspondant aux premiers effets euphorisants, un couplet "routine" correspondant à l'accoutumance et un couplet "rupture" correspondant au manque. Le refrain fait référence à la jalousie.
Ce n'est pas une grande chanson mais je l'aime bien.

Je viens de retrouver cet enregistrement qui date de 2018. Autant que je me souvienne, j'ai utilisé un enregistreur Zoom H1 en guise de micro, parce que je n'avais pas de vrai micro. Et le "mixage" a été fait avec Audacity. Autant dire que c'est très low-fi (comme tout ce que j'enregistre, en fait).

Il y avait même des paroles pour en faire une chanson.

My #Amiga #Audacity #BOOPSI rewrite, so far. Will do nothing useful for a moment, yet a lot of things are in place, architecture-wise. C89 ,Can compile from gcc2.95 on Amiga. The data and functionalities are indépendant from the UI... track selection just implemented... automatized serialization in any format..., ...features features...

#OBS ist sicherlich im Sinne der Anfrage übertrieben, like overkill.

Gleichzeitig ist es aber die #FOSS software die ganz allgemein für alles was mit screengrabbing und audivisueller Produktion zu tun hat absolut state of the Art ist. Scheinbar das Lieblingskind der Streaming Szene und auch ganz offensichtlich so weit "fertig programiert".

Ein Einstige, um einfach nur simples Screenrecording zu bewerkstelligen, ist ideal um sich Schritt für Schritt an dieses geniale Tool heran zu tasten.

Das einfachste Setup, einmal starten, Hardware Testlauf absolvieren, XSHM Screengrab aufsetzten, plus Shortcutkeys um im Hintergrund laufend mit zuschneiden ist ein erster Schritt und reicht völlig.

Mittlerweile habe ich die Audioeinstellungen gut genug begriffen um jeder Zeit Mikrofonaufnahmen mit schneiden zu können. Ein abgespeichertes spezifisches Setup ist gar so adaptiert das es einfach nur Mikrofonaufnahmen mitschneidet. Ein Audiorecorder, besser, schneller und einfacher als #Audacity.

Bei mir gehört es mittlerweile zum Standardtoolkit wie #GIMP, KDEnlive, #Kwrite, #freePlane und #ffmpeg in der Konsole.

Nachdem ich mich auch noch an #Spectacle und #Gwenview gewöhnt habe ist damit meine audiovisuelle Produktionssuite für @studi0 Projekte nicht nur komplett, ich bin praktisch wunschlos glücklich. Und dabei habe ich #irfanView sehr lange vermisst, und vermisse es auch immer noch ein bisschen.

So I tested Audacity 4 and Reaper.

Audacity 4 (pre-release): It is really a tremendous improvement over the previous version. Multitrack edition and composition workflow is now bearable. Kudos !

Reaper: Woah. It's powerful, but with particular takes (I don't have a definitive opinion on it, rn). Lot of options, lot of possible configurations. I'm still struggling with some edition options (ripple, razor, snapping), and finding the right config to fit a personal workflow for my goals (mastering, audio collages, and sample slicing).

That said, I already LOVE the media browser module: it becomes very easy to navigate a (long) list of (long) recording, and preview/scan them alongside the current project.

#Protip für #FediEltern (und alle Anderen auch): Ein alter Laptop, der mal mit Windows Vista lief, kann mittels @xubuntu und #Audacity zu einem Hörspieler für Kinder ohne Internetzugang umfunktioniert werden. In unserem Fall erfolgt die Befüllung der Festplatte dann DRM-frei per USB-Stick.

Ein alter Laptop, der nun mit Xubuntu und audacity läuft.

Da will man eine Aufnahme machen und dann lässt mich #Audacity im Stich.
Ich kann den Aufnahmeregler nicht mehr nach links schieben 😞
