Working through OCRing a late 19th century edition of an 18th century French memoir. Images were already available, so the post is just about the journey from images to processed text, with proper footnotes, comments, searchable, and full text for copying.

Mit #LibreOffice und der integrierten Base Datenbank gibt es auch einen Ansatz für das Erstellen und Verarbeiten von E-Rechnungen.
LibreOffice ist eine der wenigen Anwendungen, die das PDF/A3-Format schreiben kann, welches wiederum die Basis für #ZUGFeRD und Factur-X ist.

Über #pdftk wird dann die XML-Datei und das PDF zusammen gebracht.

Für meine Filemaker Datenbank konnte ich mir von dieser Lösung auch etwas Inspiration holen.

For free PDF manipulation, there is nothing like #pdftk the pdf toolkit

as easy as that was to whip up, #pdftk would not accept any of several variations, and hunting about there appears no evidence it has worked for anyone for at least two years. So I rewrote the script to generate the csv file that #MobileSheets accepts, which it happily did — I should have done this the first time, but whatever, now I have the book on a tablet!

I use #darktable for image processing, #gimp for advanced image manipulation, and #digikam for image library management.
For precision technical drawings use #freecad or #librecad for 2D drafting,. for viewing ebooks its #calibre.
For video I use #shotcut and 3d animation use #blender .
Look into #saxon for XML management using XSLT. we are getting more geeky as we go here 🙂
