The newest one I have is the last of @cstross ' #Laundry novels, The Regicide Report.
I don't know if you are ready up in that series, I think this is good so far but probably not an ideal entry point.

Just dumped the fragrantly smelly detergent and softener, and replaced them with free of dye and fragrance ones in my folks’ washer. Now washing miscellaneous rugs (for house cleaning) to clear the remaining smelly ones cling to the washer.

*oh my sensitive olfactory*

FYI: all perfume is toxic to nerves 😉

Here's a website that compares laundry sheets made in Canada.
I ordered some Clean People sheets online, but they sent me the scented ones instead of unscented. I used one; it cleaned fine, but smelled so strongly that I couldn't sit out in the yard while the clothes were on the line. I'll try picking them up at a store next time.

Good morning Fedi friends. It was a beautifully cool & fresh 12c last night & is heading to a bearable 32c today. I will probably still need to shut up the unit for a little while late this afternoon but that’s all. I’ll enjoy today because it’s going to be getting stinking hot starting with 37c tomorrow & up above 40c for the whole week 🥵 & it’s going to be horrible for everyone & everything.
Went to Barnawartha yesterday evening for my granddaughters 14th birthday, the three youngest grandkids splashed around for a few hours in one of those blow up pools, having a ball. Sausage in bread for dinner, birthday cake for those that indulge - the kids mostly 🤣. Apparently it was incredibly sweet. A simple get together but a lot of fun.
It’s been a busy morning here & I’ve caused myself some laughs. I had some things in the machine to wash, just kitchen towels, bath mats etc, plus a cushion cover & inner that I picked up in the recycle shop for the huge amount of 50c. I had stripped & remade my bed, so a two wash day for me. The machine started to sound out of balance during the first load at the start of the spin cycle. I turned it off to look & was met by a huge mound of floof! The cushion inner had exploded 🤣😂 & it looked like thick soap suds. I couldn’t stop laughing even though it was a nightmare removing it from everything. A couple of kitchen cloths had to be binned as I couldn’t remove all the bits, but for the most part - all good now 😂😂.
So here it is, close to 10am & I’m not even showered yet 🤣🤣😂.
