Was bin ich froh, dass ich, wenn ich das lese, nicht mehr sofort schauen muss ob das Update verfügbar ist um es einzuspielen.
Kein MS #Windows, kein #Microsoft Office, kein Microsoft 365.
Ich bin so froh den Schritt hin zu #OSS gegangen zu sein. #Linux läuft klaglos. #LibreOffice sieht im Detail ein klein wenig anders aus und hat den einen oder anderen abweichenden Shortcut. Aber das ist alles kein Hexenwerk. Esntut was es soll, läuft gut und wenn man nicht #PowerUser ist fallen die kleinen Unterschiede nicht auf.
Die einzige #Software, die ich unter Linux vermisse ist #PowerBI. Da habe ich noch nix adäquates gefunden. Aber nur deswegen wieder Windows nutzen? Besonders #Windows11? Never!

So wie ich das haben will geht das nicht, da scheduled post nicht auf posts anworten können die nocht nicht geschrieben wurden. Und ein tool was sozusagen nacheinader postet und guckt welche ID der Ausgangspost hat gibt im opensource Bereich noch nicht.

🍐 OMG you guys, PearCleaner just got a huge update for the 5.0 release and ... seriously... I thought I loved this app already. (It's an amazing app manager/uninstaller). But it has expanded to include a Launch Services manager??!? (Sorely needed for an install + plugin junkie like myself). Advanced cache management for all installed dev enviros? That's only scratching the surface as well.
If you're are a macOS user, perhaps you're a perma-tinkerer thanks to your early Windows trauma. Sure, Macs don't really need the OS to be actively maintained by the user. That's kinda the beauty and why "it just works" was always slightly more than marketing BS.
But if you're addicted to trying new apps AND stingy with your CPU cycles et al, you need a manager like this. PearCleaner has gone from awesome to indispensable. This has joined SoundSource on the 'install these from muscle memory on every new macOS' list. DID I MENTION IT IS FREE?!??!
Man, between this and HyperSpace, I really think of these as next gen tools for Mac 'power users' (aka people pathologically addicted to fixing things so hard they break and then having to fix them again x ♾️)

When I first saw a PowerBook G4 in person, I sort of switched to Mac at that very moment. It was the hardware that convinced me. But it was the vibrancy and generosity of the Mac open source movement, and all the software in general, that made me stay and become an annoying Apple guy for over a decade.
Nowadays especially, often piss me off, playing the role of 80s IBM in 2025, but really it's the game of capitalism that they're just too good at playing - it's that where my moral objections are.
