Took a look at Kagi yesterday when I saw a post about Kagi's new translate tool.
Between Kagi's search functionality, news aggregator, their smart and intentional approach to using AI (on demand only, not pushed down people's throats), and the ability to refine and control search contexts... I'm sold. I think $10/month is a great bargain.
It's early days yet, but I'm really impressed. I feel like a customer again and not a product to be monetized.

has me frustrated.
I want #search engine with:
▪ no AI in the front/back end
▪ privacy
▪ global search results (not based on my location).
It seems that a number of privacy-oriented searches (DuckDuckGo, Ecosia) use Bing on the back end, which (even if locale set to Global) skews results for location by the search engine?
It seems I must choose between combinations of those features, but cannot have all 3 at once #sigh.
Infuriating.
