Custom styling settings for custom elements could be so easy: use the block selector API to define the selector where the styles should apply and enable the applicable styles in the block.json. But unfortunately, it doesn’t work this way. If you need to apply styling to a custom element inside your block and not the surrounding element, you need to implement it manually. This is odd. Due to my timeline being an absolute firehose, I changed my settings to only show English-language posts, then did a full page refresh "just in case" to get the setting to stick.

Today I've seen at least one post in my timeline which was (a) not boosted by anyone, much less by someone I follow, (b) not posted by someone I follow, and (c) Mastodon recognized that it was not in English, because it offered me the translate option/link.

Wasn't able to get Discord checkpoints (recap feature) because i didn't enabled the settings option called "use data to personalize my discord experience" ,so bummer for me. On Youtube they have a shorty aka shorts thing but the share doesn't deliver ,so i'm not gonna post that. Overall nice to see more platforms having recap of the year.

Even if you don't want to read a ToS or Privacy Policy, going through the settings of everything you sign up for, purchase, subscribe to, etc is a good thing.
If there is malicious intent somewhere, it can be mitigated at least by just taking the two minutes to change any settings.
I can't change what's already been breached a decade ago but at least telemetrics and nonsense aren't bogging down my internet experience.
