The #paper "From Matrix to Metrics: Introducing and Applying a Configuration Matrix to Evaluate DMARC Policies" by Tobias Länge, Fabian Ballreich, Anne Hennig, Peter Mayer, and Melanie Volkamer was accepted for presentation at the #Workshop Measurements, Attacks, and Defenses for the Web (MADWeb) 2026. In the paper, an utility-oriented #configuration matrix was developed that focuses on the anti-#spoofing effectiveness of different #DMARC configurations and provides clear recommendations for selecting the appropriate configuration. An analysis of the data from the Tranco Top-100k domains reveals over a period of eight month showed that domains move towards configurations that are more effective against email spoofing, however, still exhibiting a lack of knowledge with respect to different policy settings.

Alors j’ai cherché, mais je n’ai pas trouvé d’option dans le logiciel de configuration d’empreintes qui permette de limiter d’une façon ou d’une autre le cadre dans lequel on autorise l’authentification via le lecteur d’empreinte. Il me semble que c’est un manque. Parce que je suis un peu tatillon t’as vu.

Par contre, le seul truc qui me gêne, parce qu’il y en a un, tout de même, c’est qu’en réalité la portée de cette reconnaissance d’empreinte ne se limite pas à la réouverture de session, mais qu’elle est proposée pour n’importe quelle action nécessitant une identification en tant qu’administrateur via l’interface graphique. Par exemple, pour les mises à jour ou l’installation de programmes, il est aussi possible de s’authentifier via le lecteur d’empreintes.

Comme je ne conçois pas, même chez moi, de laisser mon ordi en mode open bar, il était hors de question pour moi de désactiver ce verrouillage. Et comme de son côté, retenir des mots de passe est une des activités les plus barbantes qui soit, c’était la source de nombreux moments d’expression de son profond agacement. Alors j’ai configuré l’ordi pour qu’il reconnaisse non seulement une empreinte de l’un de mes doigts, mais aussi l’un des siens, pour déverrouiller ma session. Et je dois reconnaître que ça marche plutôt pas mal.

• Now draws an unmissable deep-pink border around the active window if the active session is a remote one via SSH so you can easily tell when you’re on your own machine and when you’re not.

Just shared my WezTerm¹ configuration. It’s not very long and mostly just adds a few keyboard shortcuts that I find more ergonomically-pleasing, specifies light/dark themes and improves colour scheme consistency and also, if you use Helix Editor², automatically implements light/dark mode theme changes for it in line with the rest of the terminal.
