Similar incidents could set off the cascade envisioned by Kessler, leading to a debris belt so dense that space exploration would become nearly impossible.

in other words: #trump - it’s hard to ignore how he embodies a lot of that elite maneuvering, wealth accumulation, consolidation of power, all while appearing to disregard the long term consequences to the planet. his political and business moves, his rhetoric, seem to align with people in power knowing the system is unsustainable and positioning themselves to survive it - maybe even accelerate the #collapse in some ways - because it benefits them.
