finally got around to properly #projectionmapping the cyc in our theatre!

(just using #qlab for this btw, im just playing back a prerendered video so i dont really need touch).

A test pattern being projected on the back wall (cyclorama) of a stage. The test pattern is nearly perfectly aligned to the corners of the cyc, and the aspect ratio of the projections is also nearly perfect (as shown by the grid of squares and the circle in the center).

Accidentally took this photo of my laptop during tech rehearsal yesterday. Cool angle, so I'm sharing it.

Looks like I was in the midst of modifying phone SFX.

Anyone have good success running #macOS inside a #vm on non-apple hardware?

It's upgrade time for a PC at the theatre, which *has* to be a mac to support the industry standard show player #QLab.

I really do not want to give apple a penny and will overspend on an AMD based solution if need be.

people, please. stop saving your active show files in dropbox, icloud, and especially google drive. keep copies there, sure, but the actual files you’re using for the show should be in local, non-synced storage only! #sound #QLab #theater
