Quickly made a little meshtastic banner based of entries located in Denmark posted on map.mpowered247.com/, constructed and styled via Python script using Folium package and destroyed it with ditherit.com

The connections are completely foobar and merely based on distance to nearest node so that is NOT correct, but the node locations and names are :)

A tree generated with openscad using recursion and hull between circles, making the two branches with smaller circles and rotating, and then adding 7 leaves at the end.

The leaves are a pair of circles intersectioned, and circles and a line make "the nerve" in it, also something for the twig.

Whole this is about 45 line of openscad.Basically the same tree, but the circles are cylinders and the height it varied  based on branch.

This took a while to render.

Oh no, it's happening. The first foray into #UI for my game. This will be the placeholder icon for one of the job types the units might be able to do if they are at the right tile and your civilisation has enough... blabla.

I made a horse wagon to check the choreography of a cutscene. You can totally tell it's a wagon because it says 'W', and… and there's horses in front of it? πŸ˜…

Let's all be thankful I have actual pixel artists to do it for me, because this is literally the limits of my artistic ability. 🫠

I got some great feedback even on my crude barely working demo at a very busy #gamerfest in the RDS in Dublin today. My #ProgrammerArt, hand drawn #texture work and 3D modelling got praise. I was even seriously asked if I am hiring (Are *you* hiring?). I'm glad I went in the end. I will definitely go back next year. Also did it entirely by train and bicycle #sustainabletransport FTW!

Just like my pixel art has improved, so has my actual drawing.

'Normal' drawing is what helps with my pixel art the most.
I've learned a lot about colors, shapes an simplifying from drawing.

I feel like I'm getting the hang of making the pixel art for my game.

I've moved to Godot for prototyping (with some ugly programmer art)!

First step completed was setting up multiple TileMaps to work with one A* and the ability to place a new tile down.

This is the primary hook, building the map as you go!
