Happy Monday.
Had a little bit of play time with my 3d pens, TPU filament and PLA filament. The true clear (top left) is really fascinating me. It's an interesting medium. I'm getting control of the pen pretty fast and getting it's quirks worked out. In the background is the base of another piece in progress.

Get the Picture? was recorded quickly as a follow-up to Pretty Things' self-titled debut album. Jimmy Page cowrote the album's opening song "You Don’t Believe Me".

We have this hydrangea plant that has mostly pink flowers, but one of the stalks is actually blue. I was told this can happen depending on soil acidity. I love this time of year, everything is in full bloom. I bought some Jacquard pre-treated cyanotype fabric months ago that I’ve been meaning to experiment with— and last night was finally the night! My friend is hosting a jean jacket bedazzling party which I am SUPER excited about, so I decided to make a cyanotype patch out of a digital design— and oooooh it turned out even better than I hoped for!

It’s extra satisfying because I created a top ten list of priorities at the beginning of the year and one of them was to finish a craft project I’d already started or for which I’d already purchased supplies, so this patch making definitely counts towards that goal!

I also have a set of the chemicals on their own and a stash of things to apply it to, like tote bags and canvas pouches! Plus I’ve got some pressed flowers I gathered while camping last year that I’m excited to use for more floral designs. Hooray for being inspired by the things I already own instead of chasing the new shiny thing! Can’t wait to do more cyanotype projects!!!

A black cat stamp! 🐈‍⬛

I love experimenting with repeating patterns like this! Designing it in a way that the whiskers line up is real pleasing to my brain. The prints in this image are still just the testers with a stamp pad, but I’m excited to try and make a fancy schmancy print with actual ink!

It’s not all printmaking here— one of my biggest passions is ceramics! I took a class in high school and loved it but wasn’t able to get back to it until 2022, then I had a wonderful year and a half spent in studios around town before the financial aspect caught up with me. I still have all my supplies just no space to do it (and no kiln access!) so hopefully someday in the future I’ll be able to get back to it.

Here’s one of my absolute favorite pieces, a little vine jar with a crescent moon handle! She makes me so happy. ❤️
