Luminous Layers

This is the face of a wild daffodil (Narcissus pseudonarcissus) that bloomed a couple of days ago. The flower is yellow, with six pale outer petals and a deeper, richer yellow trumpet in the center—almost like a smaller flower nested within the larger one.

"A single wild daffodil fills the frame like a small sun suspended in darkness. Its outer petals are pale and smooth, opening outward in a gentle star shape—soft yellow at the base, fading almost to white at the tips.
