Is #Miskey a good replacement for #facebook? If not, what is?

After getting home from dropping off the Danemobile for an oil change, I opened up my browser and came across this post from Molly In Missouri.

I finally pulled the trigger and deleted my Facebook account. While I was there, I saw my name tagged in a couple of posts from friends. I sat here and wondered if I really wanted to do this.

They have several ways to reach me. Some have my phone number/email address. The ball is in their court. Good luck to them.

Jetzt wird's knifflig. Meine nächste Instanz sollte möglichst sicher vor solchem $foo sein.

Eigentlich bietet sich da natürlich #Mastodon an, aber damit werde ich einfach nicht mehr warm.
Wenn man so Instanzen wie Firefish und auch #Pleroma hatte, dann fühlt sich das alles sehr "klein" und fizzelig an.
Klar, gibt immer mehr coole Features bei Mastodon, aber in dem eigentlichen Feature, Texte ins Fediverse zu stellen, fühlt man sich doch sehr künstlich beschränkt.

Was bleibt? #Miskey?
Evtl noch #Sharkey, weil die im Havarie Fall einfache Migration zu Miskey versprechen?

Ehrlich gesagt habe ich recht wenig Bock, mir überhaupt um so was wieder Gedanken machen zu müssen. Evtl sollte ich wieder zurück auf eine "Fremdinstanz" gehen?

I could spend all night on my #fediverse feeds.

It's just not like the big social media sites where you scroll for a bit, get depressed after 15 minutes or so, and close your browser.

It may be the case that now #ivory is one of the BEST #mastodon apps for #iOS (iPhone, iPad) and #macos on #apple hardware.

If @ivory manages to include more #fediverse services such as #miskey, #firefish and #sharkey IVORY could become THE fediverse tool on Apple devices ... :-)

One service that should be included is #pixelfed as alternative to #instagram ...

There are not so many mobile apps available to date for #miskey or #sharkey. A user at mastodon social has sent me this app/app developer.

At the moment I am using #iOS again but this app is for #android.

Does anyone have some experience with this app? Please write me. Thanks in advance ... :-)

Bluesky is relatively new but they managed to achieve over 5 million users since its start.

This is not to be underestimated.

In comparison, #mastodon is being used by about 15 million users to date. Not to speak about different #fedeverse services like #miskey and #sharkey where you can have a similar yet better user experience but with a lack of app support.

Ich zahle übrigens auch gerne für Anwendungen, die ich nutze.

So setze ich auf iPad, iPhone und Mac die #mastodon app #ibory von @ivory ein und zahle jährlich.

Wenn es also in 5 Jahren, so lange bin ich schon hier. keine Apps für verschiedene Dienste im Fediverse gibt, dann vielleicht weniger, weil sich das nicht lohnt, sondern vielmehr, weil Programmierer entweder zu bequem sind oder nicht fähig, ihre Leistungen zu monetarisieren ...

@hamiller_friendica @TRex @one @mj #tusky ist wirklich gut. Gar keine Frage. #megalodon macht sich.

Beide Apps kommen nicht mit #miskey und #sharkey servern klar ;-) ...
