Is there a setting or a plugin for Sharkey that will order threaded posts in my timeline from oldest (first post in the thread) to latest (last post in the thread)?

I really dislike seeing the end of some 12-post essay first, then scrolling down in my feed to see the entire essay in reverse order 😒

Testing out the "#Aria" app #Flatpak on #Ubuntu and so far I've found this the best native app for working with #Sharkey/ #Misskey on #Linux. Fully supports Sharkey and has some really good features like customized tabs and behavior. If you use Linux, I highly encourage you to check this out! flatpak install com.poppingmoon.aria.

My #Mastodon instance has a 5000 character limit. Who can find me a text from anywhere in the #Fediverse breaking this limit?

I know, that #Friendica and #Hubzilla have theoretically no character limit. But what's the point of bragging about it, when nobody is actually using it?

#Sharkey - as i think all #Misskey forks do - is limited to 3000 characters. Still, more than 99% of the Fediverse really is using.

And please, take a real single posting at least a couple of days old, not some crappy merged text to prove me wrong.

I've spent the past week trying to find a good way to bring mine and @Emily 's friends away from Discord and onto something that won't just go away over night or ask for ID verification.

Luckily I was able to set up a Sharkey Server, well doesn't have all the features such as VC it's a good way for us to talk and post things out we don't mind public and it brings them into the fold of the Fediverse.

Here's hoping the Misskey / Sharkey BETA chat get's developed further in the future with replies, better media showing along with proper apps + Notifications for Mobile functioning correctly in the future (Not the Roadmap, just my hopes).

Why are people not active on the Fediverse?

Less than 10% of the Fediverse users stay active (and tbh: it would be nice to see, how many percentage of the 10% are bots @fedidb is that possible to calculate?)

Why is that? too boring timeline because of no algorithm? too bad UI/UX?

Der Talk ist leider schon sehr alt, vom 21. November 2017.

In den vergangenen knapp 10 Jahren hat sich im Fediverse auch eine Menge bei diversen anderen Software-Lösungen getan, einige neue sind noch dazu gekommen. Je nach use case gibt es auch weniger komplexe und passendere Anwendungen im Fediverse.

and while i'm on that topic, out of curiosity, is it easy to change the fedi server software while retaining accounts, files, posts, federation - data in general without major breaking changes?

hmm,.. i'm lurking on this instances settings, and my drive section caught my eye - this is a sharkey (misskey) instance, and i seem to use 40% of my 100mb limit imposed by it... as an admin and benevolent dictator of it, i don't see an option in my settings or the control panel to expand that limit... anyone knows what's up?
