I have to repeat my blue-footed booby for the #BirdOfTheDay theme of #Gannets. They're in family Sulidae (gannets and boobies) together. I'm sure there's a funny way to incorporate the alternative bird, #BlueTits, into this post now. But I don't have pictures of any of those, regardless. 📷🌿🪶

The #gannets on Heligoland are so close, that you can really appreciate their aerobatics.

My wife and I spent a few days on #Heligoland (#Helgoland) this summer.
The architecture is not pretty and the food not great, but there are some great encounters with #wildlife!
We were too late for masses of breeding razorbills and guillemots, but the colonies of the #gannets were still occupied and are right beside the accessible foodpaths!
