It's not the most aesthetically pleasing setup in the back but I never see it 99% of the time and it keeps the cables off the floor which is most important to me. When I have a weekend to kill, I want to take it all apart and do it over again. Making the changes I did today alone took about 3 hours.

Cleared space on my desk for my Dell PII tower. I had to adjust the wiring behind my desk. My desk has a cable organizing panel on the back with slots for Velcro cable ties and a ledge to hold a 3 foot long power strip. These help manage a 27" 4K monitor, a 4 way hdmi switch, an hdmi to optical audio splitter, two usb hubs, three power strips, a Switch, two MacBooks, an AppleTV, a MIDI controller, speakers, a lamp, and mouse + keyboard. #organization #cableManagement #tech #desk #cables

Up until now, I’ve been exclusively been using #HDMI #cables to connect #monitors to my #laptop. My #DockingStation and one of my monitors does have #DiplayPort connections too. I’ve heard that they provide better speed and performance. and so is it worth geting a Displayport cable (they’re not expensive) or stick with what I have?

A heavy wooden TV stand has both of its large drawers open, each one contains an ungodly snarl of many different kinds of cables.

I've learned over the years when you have a cheap device that uses USB-C exclusively for charging, and you've lost the cheap cable it came with so you go to plug it into one of your high-end name brand cables, and find it won't charge, try plugging it into a USB-A to USB-C cable.

Well, today seems to be the day where I find out something, somewhere, is starting to fail in my display setup. Not sure if it is an adapter, a cable, the vid card itself, monitor, etc. Originally thought it was the adapter, but when i changed it out for a simple HDMI, same thing. Eventually I got it to work without the adapter, but things are just not sitting right with me.
