C’est très intéressant (et pas facile) d’aller dans une direction commune et bravo pour ça. Last Wednesday, my fellow XPUB1 classmates and me wrapped up the trimester with a collective folding, binding, and paginating party to make A_Mazing Machine[s]: Wordscapes to Liberate Language, the printed publication of our Special Issue 28!

My first few months at @xpub have been incredible. I am so proud of my classmates, the work we did together, and what we learned. I am also very grateful to our tutors, who have been super kind and inspiring!

All information, plus a PDF of the printed version, made with WeasyPrint is available on this Eleventy website we created to share all the things that we explored. It mirrors our incredible, legendary wiki. It was very interesting and insightful, so I published my notes about Using MediaWiki as a CMS for Eleventy.

That’s a shame we cannot access this within a normal web page (or even in straight css print, since browsers never implemented it properly).

Je savais pas trop par quoi remplacer les stories insta dans lesquelles je montrais les avancées de mes projets, alors j’ai décidé d’en parler dans un court fil. Dans mon bingo 2025, il y a « apprendre à coder » et « apprendre à tricoter ». J’ai donc lancé mon premier projet en #webtoprint (en #riso miam miam) que je présenterai mardi 4/02 à 18h à l’auditorium du #fracbretagne accompagné d’une nouvelle pièce en #crochet ! Plein d’autres étudiant•es y présenteront leurs projets textiles 🌀

Deux premières couches (rose flou et jaune) sortant du copieur riso !!!

Ma pièce roulée pour pas trop spoiler non plus……… C’est du crochet à la lirette, c’est à dire que le fil est remplacé par des bandes de tissus déchirées, ici elles sont blanches et bleues.

L’affiche de l’événement prise en photo à la volée dans un couloir parce que personne a été foutu de nous l’envoyer, enfin j’ai pas checké mes mails donc ptetre que je hate trop vite l’organisation. L’affiche est en sérigraphie, encre noire sur papier blanc naturel, on distingue un espece de tissage et des écritures verticales dans une typo effet point de croix / pixels aka ma cam en fait.

As an #artist and #researcher I critically examine #technology from a social, cultural and political perspective. I create projects that usually explore the transposition of #surveillance and control phenomenons happening on the #web into physical, material, and performed spaces.
