Metadatos para incrementar la reutilización de datos abiertos del sector público en aprendizaje automático

Si los metadatos se limitan a título, descripción y licencia, el trabajo de comprensión y preparación de datos se hace más complejo y tedioso para la persona que diseña el modelo de aprendizaje automático

Si, en cambio, se usan estándares que faciliten la interoperabilidad, como DCAT, los datos se vuelven más FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)(Abre en nueva ventana) y, por tanto, más fáciles de reutilizar. No obstante, es necesario metadatos adicionales(Abre en nueva ventana) para que los datos sean más fáciles de integrar en flujos de aprendizaje automático.

@nicolaromano @clathrin @richardsever I completely share your pain about data reuse. I think one huge obstacle is also that there isn't a standardized way to store the data online. #OpenML (https://www.openml.org/) used to be a great initiative to ease access and availability of data, but unfortunately the site doesn't work as expected anymore. I'm still looking for open alternatives.

#OpenML (https://www.openml.org/) started off as a fantastic project for storing data-sets and processing data online with pre-defined pipelines, but unfortunately the website has become completely unusable due to a variety of bugs and apparently the project is currently dead (see: https://github.com/openml/OpenML). Is anybody aware of a free (as in freedom) alternative to host data and enable collaborative analysis for #datascience and #machinelearning?
