Why can't the OneDrive web UI refresh the view when I upload files through the web UI?

Having to manually refresh the page is clunky and should not be necessary in a modern web app.

I've resigned myself that the best way to set up access to channel files is to use the "add shortcut to OneDrive/my files" option.

I prefer to have my OneDrive be actual folders and files, and not pointers to files in other places, but the alternatives for accessing channel files are not great, so here we are.

Windows 11 and OneDrive is a gift that keeps on giving. Left my laptop on over the weekend and magically my hard disk ended up with zero free disk space on Monday.

Turns out Corporate OneDrive decided that, against my wishes, I really wanted to keep a copy of my files locally.

Unfortunately my drive did not have the space.

Tschö OneDrive und tschö SharePoint. Am heutigen digitalen Unabhängigkeitstag habe ich den Anfang gemacht und ziehe mit meinen Daten aus der Microsoft-Cloud in die NextCloud zu Hetzner, einem deutschen Anbieter.

Der Umzug wird sicher noch ein paar Tage dauern, aber selbst diese Reise beginnt mit einem ersten Schritt. Der Anfang war zumindest schon überraschend reibungslos.

Hahahah #Microsoft #Graph via any sort of #Powershell cesspool is utterly broken, especially to chisel #OneDrive drive_id out of wretched #Office365, but what does work? There are some somewhat philosophical question in this discussion, e.g.:
- If an #Intel chip is manufactured in #Taiwan, is it an #america|n chip or a Taiwanese chip?
- If the main maintainer of an #opensource software m (or a foundation supporting the project) is from the #US, does that mean the project is "american"?
- If you have a large project (such as a #Linux distribution) that contains hundreds of other projects, where is it coming from?

I think ultimately this discussion comes down to: "Who is in control of your device, it's software and your data?"

With #opensource software, such as #Linux, I'd argue you have much more control of your device and your data than with #Windows, #OneDrive, #Office365, #Recall and all that stuff. That's why #Signal is great, even though it's from the #USA.

I proposed #Linux because it's your *ticket* out of the ecosystem.
