Prüfmögilchkeit: Bitte schaut ganz genau, welche Absendemailadresse angezeigt wird. Hier erkennt man schnell, dass diese nicht von Hetzner stammen.
Es gilt wie immer: Nichts anklicken! Nichts irgendwo eingeben!
Im Zweifelsfall anrufen und nachfragen, bevor angeklickt wird.

ich bekomme seit mehreren Tagen sehr gut gemachten #Spam und #Phising Nachrichten.
Und zwar nicht nur auf eine mehrfach genutzte E-Mail-Adresse, sondern auf viele und nicht offen publizierte E-Mail-Adressen von mehreren Domains.
Es geht fast immer um offene Rechnungen. Die Anrede und Nennung des Domainnamens sind valide.
Daher meine Frage, ob es einen Sicherheitsvorfall mit Datenabfluss gab und ich es nur nicht mitbekommen habe?
Haben das andere Mitleser auch aktuell?
Vorsicht Phishing mails die sich als Hetzner ausgeben, ist Hetzner schon bekannt. Bin grad fast erwischt worden

After trying Seafile / Self Hosted NextCloud / OwnCloud / OCIS and Syncthing, I ended up going with Hetzner Storage Share (https://www.hetzner.com/storage/storage-share/) as a way to just throw my own nextcloud instance up in the cloud, but have it hosted by Hetzner. 4.2 € / month for 1TB is a deal IMO. #nextcloud #hetzner

Bislang läuft eine Nextcloud-Instanz als lokale Cloud auf meinem NAS-Server in unserem Intranet. Ich bin jetzt bei meinem Umstieg zu Managed Nextcloud bei @hetzner
Registrierung, erste Einrichtung (u.a. Apps) liefen problemlos. Eine ergänzende Lösung für ein Backup, das länger als das von Hetzner (7 Tage) hält, habe ich auf meinem NAS eingerichtet. Jetzt migriere ich schrittweise die Daten. Die größte Herausforderung: Auf den Clients in den Anwendungen die Pfade anpassen.

#unplugbigtech und #diday hat mich dazu veranlasst, eine eigene #piped Instanz aufsetzen.
Also mal bei #hetzner den günstigsten Cloud-Server gezogen und losgelegt. Mit dem Nginx Proxy Manager über Docker und etwas recherche lief das Ding.
Meine Freude hielt sich aber in Grenzen. Nach Auswahl eines Videos wird statt des Videos ein Text nach dem Motto "no bots allowed" angezeigt.
Eigentlich wollte ich somit diese Meldungen der bekannten Instanzen ungehen. Wahrscheinlich war meine IP bei Google schon auf der Blacklist, oder liege ich da falsch? Für Tipps bin ich dankbar.
Vorest habe ich den Server wieder gelöscht, die Kosten des Experiments lagen somit bei drei Cent.
Das UI von Piped ist zumindest gut, da es nicht so träge wie das Original ist.

Just shut down my last VPS at #linode
Went back in billing history, started with them at $5/mo in 2017. I was so happy for so long.
Then Akamai buys them, and moves the pricing far away from what any non-commercial entity should need to pay.
Stuck on there easily another 1-2 years extra simply because I couldn't get the time to make the move :blobcatprofit:
But now the demon is exorcised. Moved on to #hetzner since their US presence is pretty solid. Early vibes are definitely good, just need to keep them away from Akamai.
I assume this means that our NextCloud instance could be offline for about a week. That's some serious weak ass system admin skills. It should take a few minutes at most to update.
