Started knitting a Sophie scarf. Ignore the wonk, I am pretty inexperienced. The wool is a hand spun alpaca and sheep wool mix I got from an art/craft shop.

That feeling when you've very nearly finished the back of the baby jumper and you grab a new ball of yarn, only to discover it's not *quite* the same colour as the first one... so you go and look at the other five balls of yarn and discover they're all the same as the *second* ball. Not the one you started knitting with.
I had to frog the whole thing and restart. And I still have a stinking cold, so I will not be going to lunch with my friend today as I don't want to give it to her or her husband.

I made very good progress today. I doubt I will return to that group. They weren't unfriendly but I didn't really click. I left a message for the supervisor this afternoon around three but didn't hear anything back yet. 🤷 I do have a coffee meeting with a person I met at the vegan potluck on Monday. I am looking forward to that. This weekend I have agreed to go to a thing in the closest town where different wellness people are doing free mini classes. I signed up for two yoga classes but don't anticipate it being a regular thing either. I have studied Iyengar and these are flow.
It has been a busy week, lacking any travel so the blanket got no work. The _Windflower_ #shawl got what little attention I gave to #knitting. And, honestly, is going faster than I expected.
Still far less than 1/3 complete.
I think I haven’t made a lot of progress but then I look back at last week’s photo and I’ve added a blue band with white dots and a grey band with a sea blue pattern since then. Good stuff!
I’m not sure you can tell the off-white of the uppermost band from the pearl grey of the lower band in the photo. In fact I’m not sure that you can tell in decent light either. The grey band might just end up looking like it’s a bit dirty. Hopefully it looks ok when it’s completed though!
I used the booklet stapler to make a #knitting needle organizer.
Picked up knitting needles for the first time in ages today and my hand's muscle memory purred into action in a snap 🫰 amazing! Looking even more forward to my yarn order and starting my Sophie Hood by #PetiteKnit
