Dessin pédagogique en noir et blanc décrivant les gestes à faire pour obtenir un nœud "Poing de singe" ("Monkeyfist" en anglais) avec une cordeMa corde de récup, nouée sur elle même aux extrémités, grâce au tuto "Poing de singe" trouvé sur internet, avec deux petits nœuds pour les poignées. Le tout posé sur le joli plancher de ma chambre.Une fois les nœuds positionnés sur la corde, les deux bolas obtenues en coupant la corde au bord des nœuds, toujours sur le joli plancher de ma chambre ;)Et voilà deux belles bolas, ou poi, en corde de chanvre, couleur beige, de la même longueur, pour du jonglage biodégradable !

It's a full-span flaperon, in two halves. Each half is almost 12 feet long.

Each flaperon half has 8 hinges made of a pintle/gudgeon pair. (1st photo)

When installing the outer flaperon half, I also have to engage two sets of pin/sockets that ensure the two halves move as one unit. (2nd photo) (Each flaperon half is driven by its own flight control linkage, not shown here.)

One of the 8 hinges on each flaperon half also serves as a retainer that handles side loads. (3rd and 4th photos.)

The flaperon halves are intentionally not very stiff longitudinally so that they flex with the wing, but they are much stiffer radially to resist deformation because they are driven at only one point by the flight control linkage. This feature is fairly easy to achieve in composite fabrication because you can orient the fabric fibers in certain directions. In this case we used Kevlar, not carbon or fiberglass.)

Made a bracelet that easily deploys 10 yards of kevlar cord (1.5 mm, 300 lbs tensile strength). I've shared a Paracord version before, but kevlar is thinner, stronger, and can be used as a friction saw!

The blankets are an interesting proposition. So long as they are some kind of high temperature or something I'm one hundred percent with you there. We in the USA live in basically paper and wood houses. We need some kind of fire prevention system. So these make sense to me. But I'm pretty sure this particular brand is probably some sort of scam. It's a very scammy commercial.
