Geany is a powerful, stable and lightweight programmer's text editor that provides tons of useful features without bogging down your workflow. It runs on Linux, Windows and macOS, is translated into over 40 languages, and has built-in support for more than 50 programming languages.
Hey, #Geany users - when I triple-click a line to select it, I get a CRLF at the end of the selection that is picked up on the keyboard and pasted in.
How do I change this annoying behavior so that a triple-clicked line only selects the text of the line and not the newline at the end?
Searching for an answer has yielded a welter of confusing and contradictory advice. Has anyone managed to do this?

C++'ın modası hiç geçmez diye düşünmüştüm, ama sanırım pek öyle değil!
Yine de yan eğitim olarak şimdilik Geany ile C++ öğrenmeye devam edeceğim.
Genel kültür iyidir.
Fakat asıl ilgimi oyun motoruna yöneltmek istiyorum.
Kodlama ile birlikte olsa güzel olacaktı.
Belki hâlâ olur.

"Merhaba Dünya!" kodumun çıktısında "ü" harfini gösterememeye başlamıştı!
Fakat başka kodların çıktılarında gösteriyordu!
Nasıl olmuşsa bunda kafası karışmış!
Yeni bir sayfa açıp kodu içine yapıştırdım ve adını "Merhaba Dünya" koyup ".cpp" uzantılı olarak kaydettim ve eskilerini (Geany de sanırım bir derleme kaydı dosyası oluşturuyor) silip attım!
Çalıştırdığımda artık "ü" harfini doğru gösteriyordu!
Bunu böyle bırakmak hiç eğlenceli değil!
Arduino da da muziplik yaparak öğrenmeyi seviyordum! ツ
if-Else lere geldiğimde bunun devamını getirip;
Eğer kullanıcı tam sayı girmezse (ondalıklı sayı girerse); "Lan mal mısın! Tam sayı gir dedik!"
dedirtip, eğer tekrar ondalıklı sayı girerse terminale; "Siktir git lan!"
yazdırmak daha eğlenceli olacak! ツ

Raspberry PiOS'a hiç bir program kurmadan, kurulu gelen Geany ile kodlama yapabilmek hârika!
C++ için bir derleyiciye ihtiyacım vardı.
Bütün Kodlama çalışmalarım için sâdece Raspberry Pi 5 (Raspberry Pi OS) kullanıyorum.
Artık PayGame ile Oyun yapamadığım için yüksek işlemciye de ihtiyacım yok!
Hem zâten gerek yoktu!
Raspberry yetiyordu ve onunla çalışabilen bir oyun yapınca her yerde rahat oynanabilecekti.

Ich hadere immer noch etwas mit dem Wegfall von #Notepad++ unter #Linux. Bzw. hab ich es da, aber der Start könnte etwas fixer sein.
Alle anderen haben so ihre Nachteile
* #Kate: benutzte ich hauptsächlich lange, aber richtig warm werde ich nicht
* #Bluefish: sah cool aus, dann merke ich kein F3 für weitere Suchergebnisse...
* #Geany: okayish, weiß noch nicht
* #Zed - echt? Bissel minimalistisch
* #Notepadqq: bissel instabil
* #Sublime: hm, nicht so doll, dass bezahlen lohnt

Unerwartet hat mich die Muse heimgesucht. So ist gestern tatsächlich ein neuer Artikel von meinen analogen Kopfzellen in digitale Speicherzellen gewandert. Soeben die letzte Korrektur fertiggestellt, zählt #Geany 1312 Wörter. Wirklich, ich schwöre, das war nicht beabsichtigt! Zumal es gar nicht um die Polizei geht.
Ich lese lieber nochmal Korrektur. Da lässt sich bestimmt noch was verändern, ich will mir schließlich nichts nachreden lassen.
@frlan just recently found a number of #Xfce stickers e.g. perfect for laptop or other dark surfaces. The mouse is cut out and quiet easy to glue (well... the small whiskers might need a little attention)

What are the benefits for Geany of porting it to GTK4?
The editor/IDE #Geany is still #GTK3 and the hampering factor was that the editing engine #scintilla wasn't ported to GTK4 but it exists now.
However, one of the main developers questions, if there are any benefits at all in porting Geany to GTK4:
"I wonder if anyone would find motivation for this. As said in #3675, in my personal opinion there are no benefits at all in GTK4."

All other applications that I rely on are cross-platform: #Thunderbird, #Firefox, #LibreOffice, #R, #RStudio, #Stata, #Zotero, #Xodo #PDFStudio (formerly Qoppa), #Inkscape, #Gimp, #Geany, #Zoom, #TeamsforLinux, #Webex
I’ve discovered recently a hidden 💎 of a #foss app called #geany that’s really good for browsing code files, writing light code etc. Compared to Xcode or other similar solutions it’s extremely lightweight, yet powerful! I’ve customized the icon, created a few projects to have my tabs up and running, connected chatGPT’s api and now feel ready to rock 😎
