The image features a wide, graphically designed poster. At the top left is the round “Aspec*German” logo in black, gray, white, green, and light green, next to the date range “15.02.26 – 21.02.26”.
In the center is the large title “A*TELIER PROMPTS”. Below it, the weekdays are listed in two columns:
	•	Left: “SU: EMOTIONAL SUPPORT BUDDIE”, “MO: ARO – CRAFT” (highlighted in green), “TU: AROMATIC POTIONS”, “WE: COMFORT PLACES” (green).
	•	Right: “TH: SPRING FEELINGS: ARO EDITION”, “FR: WICKED WITCH!” (green), “SA: SUNSET”.
At the bottom left is “@ASPEC*GERMAN”. To the right bottom sits a stylized green frog figure with pink cheeks, forming a light heart with its hands, sitting on a surface. The entire poster is framed by vertical and horizontal strips in black, white, and various greens.

The dragon diorama on the bookshelf. My Phone only has potato graphics, so in the next days I'll try to take a picture with my DSLR.

The dragon diorama between some books an a shelf. To the right of it (from right to left): His Dark Materials, The Nation's Favourite Poems of Desire, The Nation's Favourite Love Poems, Howl's Moving Castle. To the left a Jane Austen collection. Diorama description from the first post: A straight wooden hollow box. The insides are plastered with black felt. There are four levels of small piles. The first in the front is made of golden coins, the size of a hole puncher hole. The second behind that is covered in golden glitter the size smaller than a match head. Between the second and third level stands a black pillar on the right side. Behind that is the head of a sleeping black dragon coming out of the pile of coins. The pile and neck of the dragon are covered in golden glitter, the smallest I could find. The two piles in the back are simply golden.

The Parent Trap: Regulations for the Fictional Parent

In fiction, it is not at all uncommon to meet characters whose parents are lacking in some regard or another. Some parents are physically present but emotionally distant; some die for the sake of tragedy; some were never in the picture to begin with. In other instances, like Homer’s The Odyssey , the protagonist is the estranged parent. It seems that parents are so doomed to some form of exile that this trope extends even into children’s media (the first coming to mind here is C.S. Lewis’s The Chronicles of Narnia ).

Gotta love subversive cross-stitch.

My small act of rebellion, thanks to pattern maker, Junebug & Darlin out of Portland, Oregon.

An embroidery hoop containing cross-stitch art in colors of red, green, yellow, black, and purple. The pattern has the words “Resist Fascism” encircled with flowers and ivy.

I'm working on finally finishing my "dragon sleeping in piles of gold coins" diorama. It went throught three different stages and after years of rethinking and rebuilding it I can't wait to finally finish it, even though it is far from perfect.
When it's done, I'll try to take a better picture of it.

Week 5: Is it spring already?

It got a lot warmer, compared to last week. The snow is nearly completely gone and the first spring flowers are growing steadily. And of course, this is the time of the year, when i´m terrible tired. I don´t know why, but i was sleeping a lot.

I still managed to finish the lining of my Jacket and to sew on the pockets. So far i really like it. The lining fabric was a bit of a shock moment, because it had some tiny moth holes on one side. I looked at my fabric stash, but couldn´t (thankfully) find any traces of moths. ( We laways put sacks full of lavender inside the cupboards.) We got the lining fabric from somebody years ago, so i think it had the holes from the beginning. But i will keep my eyes open. I really don´t have any use for moths.

I did knit a bit this week. The most attention got my “Elegant Suit” (https://www.ravelry.com/projects/sewingforyourlife/elegant-suit).

The edges do roll in quite a lot, but so far i like the cables. Well, for me it is not really a cable, it´s a zig-zag pattern. But still very nice. A few rows more and i can decrease for the neckline shaping.

After that i knitted a few cm on my “Convertible scarf or cap” (https://www.ravelry.com/projects/sewingforyourlife/convertible-scarf-or-cap).

The instruction uses a sport weight yarn on 3,5 mm DPN´s. ( Weirdly enough only 4 needles not 5.) I casted on 128 sts and knitted a few rows. Firstly, 128 sts on 3 main needles, i just couldn´t manage them. There were constantly stitches slipping down my needles, because there were too many. And secondly, i was worried that the cap would be too tight for me, because it looked tiny. ( And i have a small head.) So i changed to a 4mm circular needle and 8 more stitches. Why 8? I don´t know, just felt like it would be a good idea.

I need to knit for 36 inches, which are about 92 cm. It will be a rather lengthy project i guess. But at the moment it is the only one without anything complicated, yet.

The last project i was working on this week, were my socks i casted on last week. “Raffiniert” (https://www.ravelry.com/projects/sewingforyourlife/raffiniert).

I´m not in love with them. I used to really like socks with texture or colourwork, but nowadays i just want to knit vanilla socks. Simple, easy, fast to knit. I don´t know why, but once i start a sock with some texture (this socks has a pattern with purl and knit stitches), i´m losing interest really fast. I love looking at beautiful, intriguing sock patterns, but knitting them…?

Either i´m frogging “them” (“it”, it is still just one sock) or i continue knitting in stockinette. I don´t know yet.

That´s it for this week.

Thank you for reading, till next time.

I didn't take a lot of pics, but here's a result of the #scanncut (w/ #inkscape) #galentines #craft project for the Mrs' upcoming party

(these are actually the reprints of the error ones)

I also took a break and printed some cube....tiles? It's a #3d version of the #math #puzzle pentominoes. The sloppiness here is 100% my poor gluing--the cut blanks were exquisite
