I am trying to backup not just the app, but all associated data (save progress, configurations, source code, binaries, everything) Data on these apps goes all the way back to 2009 or earlier.
I want this Samsung Galaxy S20 FE (almost 6 years old now) to be my final Android device.
Am I doing this right? Is my data bundled inside the APK/APK+ files? Are they installable (in a virtual machine, sometime in the future)
Android has been one of the 3 major hurdles I still can't cross to degoogle my life (the other 2 being YouTube, and Golang (which seems to be used on so many programs I use) GMAIL is a 4th hurdle, but it is a lot smaller. A lot of the apps are Internet based, and won't run, but I still value their preservation.

Tech Mastodon: I got a message from the Bank of Ireland app saying it won't support Android 10 which is where my Sony Xperia phone stopped automatically updating. I only bought the phone in July 2020 and it still works perfectly. Is there a way to download a later Android version onto my existing phone? #Android #Android10

But I have seriously gone through #Android10, #Android11 , & #Android12 with these modules over the last few years.

This year I hope to complete #Android13 and then #Android14 with #GammaGroup because ... science.

Turns out that my previous had a software bug which led to the battery simply falling to being empty within 2min or so when it had hit the 30% threshold.

Only now realizing it because I installed on it and its still working with <30%.

How risky is it to still be running #android 10? There is nothing wrong with my phone and the battery is still good, but it is stuck on android 10, as about 20% of android phones apparently. #android10 #smartphones #security #cybersecurity
