One more, from 2018.
Can't stop playing with these old photos...

:goose_hacker: #AgX via #Saulala
Saulala is a camera-native file (a.k.a 'raw') developing tool that uses #AgX as its backbone.
It is a PWA (Progressive Web App) that runs in your browser, but can also be 'installed'. It can work offline; Nothing is uploaded to any servers.
#Saulala is GPU-accelerated, and can open many different camera file formats thanks to LibRaw, as well as .EXR (OpenEXR).
Saulala is donation-ware, it does not track, nor serve ads.
A few more photos taken with the #Thypoch Simera 28mm f/1.4 and my #Canon EOS R5, developed in #darktable
It feels like it's been weeks since I saw the sun the last time... it's a very gloomy winter and the time I can dedicate to my #photography is suffering from both the weather and my (over)work schedule.
I think a couple of the photos are developed with the new #AgX module
Missed the focus and everything, but the feeling is there.
For those exploring the AgX module in darktable, here is a link to the online manual, explaining it in great detail.

Since I've been spending quite a bit of time on #Saulala for the past few weeks, it's been updated too many times to spam posts about it here on Mastodon.
Up-to-date patch notes here: https://saulala.discourse.group/t/saulala-pwa-alpha-updates-main-thread/69/last
You can now click on the 'Version' on the 'Intro' screen to access that link.
The web-app will now prompt you to update whenever one is available.

A couple of weeks ago we headed up to Sheringham on the North Norfolk coast. It was very cold but local birders were reporting a rare visitor.
The Eastern Black Redstart. When we saw it the Redstart was favouring the windowsills of a block of flats and a small neighbouring building site, not the best background but some clear views.
While we were waiting and searching with the other birders, a large black SUV pulled up and three fellas hopped out who had just arrived from northern Wales!
eBird users are still tagging it there even today if you want to find it.

Tired of looking at my own photos when testing the app, so I grabbed some sunsets/sunrises made by others...

What I do know is that I really like the new #agx tonemapper module in #darktable, providing really good results with relative ease. I'm gonna use it as my default for now, and see where that will take me. It provides a very nice control over contrast and colors, and I barely scratched the surface so far.

It's been ages since I posted a photo, but here is one. Very much to celebrate #darktable 5.4 and the new #AgX tonemapper module, which I think is just amazing! Thank you, Darktable!
