‘de Utkieker‘ by Hannes Helmke (2007, bronze, 3,50 m high) is standing on top of a dune. You can see two people reaching up to the knie of the statue.
The sun is setting behind the dune - between 'de Utkieker’ and a big tree on the right. The sky glows warmly in yellow and apricot while two pink-apricot painted clouds drift in the grey blue silent sky.

#Scape to the weekend, and a #skyscape. A nice bright moon made for an interresting walk. All handheld shots - OM-3 and 100-400mm. The Moon and Jupiter were close together - and managed to catch Europa, Io, Ganymede and Callista. Bay and Richmond Bridges too. Exif in Alt. #EastCoastKin

Zwischen Foto 1/2 und 2/2 liegt fast ein Jahrzehnt. In dieser Zeit hat sich die Leegde verändert.
Auf 1/2 schauen wir Richtung Osten, Richtung Leuchtturm Wangerooge. Hier nun wenden wir uns nach links. Richtung Norden. Am Horizont ist in ca. 900 Meter Entfernung ein kleiner dunkler Streifen Nordsee zu erkennen. Ein Pfad führt zwischen überspülten Weg und rot blühenden Queller entlang.
Die Weißdünen am Horizont liegen in der Sonne. Dort hinten ist der Himmel teilweise blau. Hier wo wir stehen und unsere Wanderung beginnen, ist der Himmel ehr dicht mit Wolken verhangen.

ACHTUNG: der Weg ist NICHT immer trockenen Fußes begehbar !!

Even among the stuff I've lost it's among the earlier sunsets I ever caught on camera: from all the way back in 2009. Yet I've never seen a contrail that was quite so beautiful again.
