Busy day - clean the car, shop for lunches for the week, and sharpen and clean this rapier, one of my son's college graduation gifts! One of these things is not like the others... 😁

I had a bad fencing weekend in London. I competed in the London HEMA Open tournament in three categories (in this order): saber, rapier and dagger, and longsword.
In saber I won two and lost two fights in the pool, ending up 30th before elimination, where I lost (deservedly) in the first round.
In rapier and dagger I fought a bit better - I won three times, and lost two times, ending up 22nd. However, because it was (too?) late, the organisers decided to let only 16 fighters (out of 58) into the elimination. Hm 😕
In longword I was just simply stupid. In the pool I won all bouts, but, like last year, I lost in the first round of elimination 🤦♂️ Why...
