Every iteration of #Phil both exits and loops #Punxsutawney (February 2nd).
He is copied back to the previous point with no consequences, but also the new iteration moves forward on that timeline with all the baggage of consequences of his actions.
The end of the movie is not "Phil escaping" but rather us (the audience) following one of the "off-ramp" copies instead of following the loop.
He is still there, #looping and splitting across time.

I am finally getting around to learning to use the RC-505 #looping thing I bought an embarrassing number of years ago.
I'm controlling it with an FCB1010, which is fine, but I think I will end up building a middle-man device to allow sending more CC commands. Basically, this thing would know what track to target, and adjust the CC number from the 1010. Then all the foot pedals can be used for for any single track.
