After all the whining, I ended up happily in Malmö a tad past 1 am. What a glorious moment to have proper rye bread (well, knäckebröd, but it certainly counts) for breakfast! And pancakes in the #FirstClass lounge! My reservation is for the night train in ten hours, but a reservation is a reservation.

Copenhagen for the day, and then off for Stockholm! Why am I Malmö then, you may ask? Even if you don't, I'll tell you: money. Hotels are way less expensive here.

Instead of traveling straight from Durham to Blackpool, I did a detour via Edinburgh. You know, because I can. #Interrail. Let's just say: Edinburgh is quite vertical.

I wanted to revisit Edinburgh after ten or so years, but also have some #FreeStuff dining on my way and back. So far, I prefer LNER meals to Avanti. They both taste great, but LNER is a bit more... mealy.

Moving on to England!

I accidentally found the #LNER #firstClass lounge at King's Cross and dashed in, spending my extra 20 min between trains. Quite full, basically just beverages and bisquits (dry and excellent like British humour) available. But a very good alternative to the crowds at the common areas.

LNER to Durham is nice, but going so fast I have to hold on my glass of red wine and drink it as fast as possible to avoid spilling.

My #NightTrain from Stockholm to Malmö was ready a full hour before departure, which was nice.

The breakfast included in the #FirstClass ticket wasn't served on the train, but the first class ticket guaranteed entrance to hotel Kramer's breakfast buffet, quite close to the station. Very nice idea, provided one isn't travelling in a hurry. I wasn't.
