Segundo informações do The Hollywood Reporter, Sebastian Stan foi oficialmente escalado para interpretar Harvey Dent em “The Batman – Parte II“. O ator dará vida a uma das figuras mais complexas da galeria de vilões do Cavaleiro das Trevas, o promotor idealista de Gotham que, após uma queda trágica, se transforma no icônico Duas-Caras.

Em The Batman – Parte II, a expectativa é que Harvey Dent seja apresentado inicialmente como novo promotor público idealista, comprometido com a justiça institucional de Gotham, antes de sucumbir ao caos que domina a cidade. Ainda não está confirmado se a transformação em Duas-Caras ocorrerá ao longo do filme ou será reservada para um momento posterior da franquia.
Além de Stan, outra grande estrela oriunda da Marvel Studios também integra o elenco: Scarlett Johansson. A atriz foi anunciada recentemente no projeto, mas sua personagem segue envolta em mistério. Entre as especulações mais recorrentes está Gilda Dent, esposa de Harvey, personagem central na clássica HQ O Longo Dia das Bruxas, embora nenhuma informação oficial tenha sido divulgada.

Na sequência, além de Pattinson, são esperados os retornos de Jeffrey Wright (Comissário Jim Gordon), Andy Serkis (Alfred Pennyworth), Colin Farrell (Oz Cobb/Pinguim) e Barry Keoghan (Coringa).
Embora “The Batman: Parte II” não faça parte do núcleo principal do novo DCU, o filme integra o selo Elseworlds, que permite histórias independentes dentro da marca DC.
