My sister asked me to take my dad to the DMV to get a new ID while I'm there.
This is needed because he lost his passport within days of when sis got it for him. *sigh*
She suspects he was carrying it around in his pocket and forgot to take it out and it got sent to the laundry.
He's in an assisted living facility and barely ever leaves and never alone, so who the f knows why he would need to carry around his passport. 🤷
This time, my sister will hold onto the ID.

My uncle had a doctor appointment scheduled for today. Because he's currently in rehab, the rehab was responsible for transporting him to/from the appointment.
The appointment was documented in the discharge notes the rehab was given by the hospital last week.
I reminded the rehab's "patient ambassador" about the appointment at least four separate times. She assured me that of course it would be taken care of. (1/5)
That's a problem in ML that is *very* worth exploring - can local/edge non-networked devices with wearable sensors tracking pulse, respiration, and any other useful data such as accelerometers to detect falls be produced that can trigger local alarms?
