Sooo, ich habe erstmal ein paar #docker container in einem #alpine #lxc container unter #proxmox gepackt.
Laut #htop idled das vor sich hin. Der Verbrauch pendelt um die 4w im idle.
Aktuell laufen #whoogle, #searxng, #mealie, #rimgo, #peaNUT, #drawio, #dozzle und #guacamole. Noch nicht viel #diday würdiges, aber ich will noch testen was der kleine so schafft.

Typically my work experience (SRE) feeds into my #homelab hobby, but recently I've had a couple of surprising finds from the homelab folks that are useful in my day job!
1. #dozzle is a great tool for getting logs from different docker containers running locally, also offers a quick overview of resource usage. Extremely low resource util, it typically runs at about 50M of memory in my setup (18 containers currently). Check it out over at https://dozzle.dev/
2. IT-tools is something I run into, and it's an honestly spectacular collection of tools you might need in everyday computer tasks, all runnable in browser. I had been leaning into LLMs lately to quickly convert formats (e.g YAML to JSON etc), and I've always found myself getting back to the JWT website to inspect JWTs, so this is super useful for me. Accessibility Focus ♿️🖥️
Accessibility heavily influences my choices—I use a screen reader full-time (#ScreenReader), so I prioritize services usable without sight (#InclusiveDesign, #DigitalAccessibility). Always open to discussing accessibility experiences or recommendations!
I've also experimented with:
- Ollama (#Ollama): Not enough RAM on my Pi.
- Habit trackers like Beaver Habit Tracker (#HabitTracking): Accessibility issues made it unusable for me.
I don't really have a media collection, so no Plex or Jellyfin here (#MediaServer)—but I'm always open to suggestions! I've gotten a bit addicted to exploring new self-hosted services! 😄

One of my favorite features of #Proxmox has to be the ability to convert an LXC container into a cloneable template. I have a single template that has:
#Dozzle: container-level log collector for Docker
#redis: fast as hell key-value store, used by...
#cAdvisor: container-level metrics collector for Docker
They're already deployed and running in the template. I just have to clone it and then install whatever I want into the LXC container. Then it's pointing #prometheus at #cAdvisor for each LXC container and then instant #metrics!
