This is the MappingforJustice blog hosted by Tutor/Mentor Connection (1993-present) and Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC (2011-present). In the feature article I focus on using concept maps to understand systems. The graphic is a view of a Child Care Systems map, created using Kumu.io.

At the right is a map of Chicago with green icons representing volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in my library. The map is hosted on map-a-list.

This is a KUMU based concept map showing education and scholarship resources around the world that helps connect Harvard students with refugee summer internship opportunities. Others can use it for similar goals.

This #ConceptMap shows how the nodes have drop-down menus w list of additional maps and/or websites to visit. I updated this yesterday so I and others could find my collection while my main website is not opening. I used cMapTools to edit my original map.

This is a concept map created by the Tutor/Mentor Connection (1993-present) and Tutor/Mentor Institute, LLC (2011-present). At the left is a "mentoring kids to careers" graphic that shows different types of support kids need at each age level, and emphasizing that support needs to be continuous from birth-to-work. At the right are many of the challenges that all kids face, but that kids in poverty areas have fewer resources to deal with.

The images in the second row, right side, point to examples of how I've used concept maps to guide people through the library I've built over the past 45 years.

The images at the lower left invite visualization experts to use these examples in a project that aggregates information about causes supported by pro sports athletes, and breaks it down by cause and location.
