The image is a promotional poster for an adaptation of Eugene O'Neill's "More Stately Mansions." The poster has a stark black background with text and images in red, white, and some blue. It prominently features the names Ingrid Bergman as Arthur Hill (spelled incorrectly), Colleen Dewhurst, and others involved in the production like José Quintero who directed it.

There are two main photographs on the poster depicting scenes from the play. On the left side is a black-and-white photograph of an intimate moment between a man and woman where their expressions convey tension or emotional conflict; the man's face is up close to the camera, showing concern, while the woman looks away in contemplation.

On the right side there are three people: Ingrid Bergman with her hair pulled back tightly into what appears to be a bun style typical of late 19th-century fashion. She stands behind Arthur Hill who has his face turned towards Colleen Dewhurst as if he is speaking or reacting to something she says; both men wear period clothing suggesting the story's setting.

Below these images, in smaller print and white font on red background, are additional details about the production such as its premiere date at a specific theater. The overall design of this poster aims to attract potential audiences with vivid colors contrasting against black while highlighting key actors involved in what appears to be an intense drama or period piece.

The only thing more fun than fiddling while Rome burns or rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic is playing chess with my old friend, Cornholio.

Ingrid Bergman (1915-1982)

Bergman died in London on 29 August 1982, at midnight on her 67th birthday. Her ex-husband Lars Schmidt and three other people were present, having drunk their last toast to her hours earlier. A copy of The Little Prince was at her bedside, opened to a page near the end.

The Fate of Opposites
Word of Ingmar Bergman's death in Sweden, on July 30th (2007), had barely begun to register when the announcement was issued from Rome that Michelangelo Antonioni, too, had died, the same day. Bergman was 89; Antonioni, amazingly, was 94: their deaths were not unexpected, but the shock — of both, on the same day, given who they were — was real in a way that I imagined was no longer possible to believe in.... "While it's certainly disquieting to be so near these clashing characters at the brink of disintegration, there's an unending and downright captivating sense of naked, genuine immediacy, perhaps also because the subject is so universally relatable."
