Después de probar diversas combinaciones que me han llevado a problemas de rendimiento, al final lo que mejor me ha ido es poner la configuración gráfica al mínimo y el #FSR 4 en alto rendimiento. He tenido que hundirlo todo y limitarlo a 60fps.

Si vais a ejecutar el juego con mi configuración, tenéis que instalar un componente desde #Winetricks.

Some #tips when #installing Open Rails on #Linux using #WINE:

1. use the 32bit versions of WINE and Open Rails as you need to apply some winetricks which may not be available for 64bit WINE (I will test 64bit installation seperately)

2. after installing OpenRails in WINE run the #winetricks script for the WINE prefix you have just installed Open Rails into

3. from wineticks install the following DLLs:

a) .NET 4.7.2 - this will take some time as you will iterate through versions 4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.6.1, 4.6.2 and finally 4.7.2

b) DXVK - this requires 32bit #Vulkan libararies for your video card (e.g. AMD) installed in your native Linux install. DXVK will fix issues with shading and textures (e.g when they are black in the distance but normal when coming closer)

c) XNA 3.1 - this will install .NET 2.1 as a dependency, don't worry.

4. The built-in content downloader (and network support in general) doesn't work too well with WINE, grab the free Content off the official Open Rails website.

@rastilin I haven't tried Lutris, I will look and see if its compatible thanks! (HL isnt mentioned https://lutris.net/games?q=half+life but doesn't exclude it)

I tried #PlayOnLinux - as packaged in #Debian - but it was awful. I don't know if thats because of the packaging or the software.
After that I tried #WineTricks (also using Debian packages) and that has been OK, if not super intuitive at first.

@larsmb @HierAuchDabei I am curious: Have you tried installing vcrun2019 via #winetricks ?

Ich habe nun in Summe schon ein paar Stunden daran rumgedoktert #Cuttermaran unter #Linux sauber zum Laufen zu bringen.
Das es erstmal startet und benutzbar ist war kein Problem. Die Installation unter #wine war erfolgreich. Aber beim Abspielen eines Videostreams gibt es den Fehler, das ein #Audiocodec fehlt. Also kein Ton. Und beim Abspielen der Schnittstellen Vorschau heißt es dann, dass kein Dekoder vorhanden ist. Ich habe auch schon über #winetricks das Paket (1/2)

I find the winetricks GUI to be the worst possible thing (in my opinion) and hate having to open it when I need to manage wine stuff so I want to do my own alternative GUI for it sometime. J'ai besoin d'une information . Si on n'a #heroiclauncher installer sur le #steamdeck #winetricks n'ai plus utilisable . La cause #heroiclauncher et en #flatpak et ne trouve pas les dépendance de #wine . Et j'ai rien trouver pour rajouter les fameuse dépendance. Je me retrouve bloqué sur un jeu offert par Amazon teenage mutant ninja héros . Il la besoin de vcrum et je peut pas l'installer il me sort plein d'erreur. Par-contre pas de problème sur mon pc portable vu qui la les dépendances . Merci de votre aide

Pour ceux qui jouent sous #linux et qui galèrent parfois avec #wine et #winetricks
Si vous utilisez #steam, le fait d'ajouter le jeu dans la bibliothèque via "Jeux"->"Ajouter un jeu non steam..." et en cherchant le .exe résout bien des soucis.
Il faut juste modifier parfois la version de #proton mais c'est bien plus simple que d'utiliser wine pour pouvoir lancer le jeu.

Pro tip: If you're trying to run #SMBX on #Wine , you need to install vb6run from #Winetricks according to this page: https://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=3386

Once it's running, don't maximize it because it'll start flickering really bad and it's difficult to close even with KSysGuard, at least on #KDE when using Wobbly Windows. You might be able to manually resize the window from the corners though, but try at your own risk.

No se queda loco diciendo que no encuentra el Wine del sistema. #Bottles deja de «encontrarlo» tras una actualización de versión (9.5, 9.6, 9.7, …). Hay que darle a detectar de nuevo el Wine.

Si utilizo el Wine del sistema es obvio que va a ir cambiando de versiones. Si quisiera una versión fija el ejecutable tendría un sufijo de versión en algún punto de la ruta del sistema de archivos.

Como contra, hay que usar #Winetricks para algunas dependencias puesto que no muestra todas, como .NET 7.

Por cierto, ya he conseguido hacer funcionar #UbisoftConnect.

Solución: Instalar desde #Winetricks «d3dcompiler43» y «corefonts». Además instalé «d3dcompiler47» y «vcrun2022» por si acaso que nunca está de más...

Und wer kam auf die Idee, wenn Installationsprozesse mit nem Fehler enden, das in ner unendlich Schleife nochmal zu probieren. Selbst auf Abbrechen drücken nutzt nix, man muss die zugehörigen Prozesse händisch weghauen 🤨

Any #hamradio folks looking to install the #N3FJP #FieldDay2023 software, it runs fine in WINE on #Linux, but you have to install dotnet452 using #winetricks.

Ich habe gerade #creo mit Hilfe von #wine auf #zorinos installiert. Das hat bei mir funktioniert, nachdem ich den NET Framework mit #winetricks installiert habe, dann läuft die Installation ohne Probleme durch. Leider startet Creo jetzt trotz dem nicht. Vielleicht finde ich ja noch ne Lösung =)
