We are using two hosting providers for the two Break3 instances;
- Break3.social is using Masto.Host
- BikersGo.social is using SpaceHost
These are two amazing systems it's just sad to see SpaceHost is going away in the near future we are having to look at the future of our run instances.
Especially with how are are using Mastodon for Break3.social & Sharkey for BikersGo.Social

@gofedi @atomicpoet @rjbasitali I hope everyone who needs to hear it will be aware Spacehost is going away. It's great to hear that migration options have been set up.
To be blunt, when we first got the @gofedi site up and running, my main concern was just having a web presence while we migrate SpaceHost customers to our new service.
Because here’s the truth: right before @spacehost shuts down, we hammered out a deal to move instances over so nobody loses their community. And honestly, it would be tragic if all those great servers—including mine—just vanished because #SpaceHost is sunsetting.
However, once the site went live, it immediately got attention—so I decided to lean into it.
So yes, @gofedi exists. It’s here because there should be a fully managed Fediverse host—based in Canada—that gives people choice in both software and service.
And yeah, it’s a little wild that I’m doing this while also co-founding the Federated Video Co-op Initiative.
But god damn it—the best way to grow the Fediverse is to actually get more servers running.

Basit ( @rjbasitali ) knows more about running and hosting all the different Fediverse software than anyone else in the world!
Basit is shy about promoting himself — he is more of a private person. So I am saying something nice about him publicly 🙂
Basit has been a major part of #SpaceHost from the beginning.
SpaceHost is the 2nd Fediverse hosting company — masto-host was the first. But, where masto-host only hosts Mastodon — SpaceHost hosted all Fediverse software (including Mastodon).

#SpaceHost is having some problems with its payment provider (Stripe).
I am working on resolving it.
This will also give current #SpaceHost #Kbin customers a path to migrate to #Mbin if they want to.

We have been working on making it so SpaceHost hosted Fediverse server instances can be hosted outside of the U.S.
I think our first non-U.S. location is going to be in the EU — I think in Germany.
With the second, maybe Canada.
We have the system built now. And, are now testing it for QA, to make sure everything is working OK.

SpaceHost actually integrated NodeBB back in May 2024, but NodeBB didn't connect to the Fediverse yet.
So, we held off in making it available.
But now, NodeBB Fediverse support is there.
So, after we update to the new version (NodeBB 4.0.0) and do some quality-assurance (QA) testing, we will make it available on https://spacehost.one/
