#Semaphore was unexpectedly discontinued today, in a way that even breaks people just wanting to continue running the last version there was.*
This means I lost the primary Fedi client I use. Might go back to Pinafore, but the idea of Semaphore was to continue thatโs development and fix some bugs, too, soโฆ hum.
I donโt want to have to write a client myself! (But maybe I have to.)
For now, I still have perpetual-beta FediText (until it expires in 90 days). Thatโs a touchy-capacitive-glass thing. I loathe typing on these.
But, given that I planned to hack intensely on MirBSDโs current entangled transitions (and after that, if I have time, my own infrastructure), perhaps this may be a good thing, for now.
*) itโs supposedly still available from Vercel, a thing which actively speaks out in favour of using the wrong-most-of-the-time eso-fascist planet-burning plagiarism machine ("AI") in weapons used by Israel to, idk, do a genocide I suppose, soโฆ Iโd rather not. And the implementation language and framework is so foreign to me that I donโt envision myself working on it, either.
Damn, this is what I get for using things in languages I donโt speak (and thus cannot take them over when they inevitably get discontinued, though this came much more quickly than thought). But, it came recommended by #GotoSocial (which, incidentally, is written in Issue 9, which I also donโt speak and cannot work on)โฆ ๐
