I want to see some disgruntled, ex-government employee move behind the red velvet ropes and publicly backhand those two guys from OMB — either Jeffrey B. Clark or the OMB Director himself, Russell Vought. Now, wouldn't that be something folks?

That is the least that all of MAGA working in public office deserves for being the putrid, stinking assholes that they are and also having no hearts nor any grace to their overall character.

When I go to the #OregonStateUniversity basketball game tonight, I will not stand for the pledge of allegiance nor will I take off my hat while they play the national anthem. Fvck this country. I mean that, so long as Trump is still President.

I hate Trump's guts. I say fuck the very notion of President's Day, too. What a fuckin' joke President's Day is, now. We have a "leader" with no class who is an actual child molester and rapist. The only way he got away with being a molester was being a US President, having $5 billion of his own money in his warchest, and bribing the head of DOJ a.k.a. the "Ice Queen" Pam Bondi herself back in 2016 — so that Bondi would more easily comport with Trump's MAGA base while Trump was President.

Had a wonderful time at #PRAx on the #OregonStateUniversity campus this evening seeing Ruth Moody perform. Absolutely wonderful. prax.oregonstate.edu/events/am

One thing I do not like about international politics and their frameworks is that it is often messy. #OregonStateUniversity #Oregon #PNW #PacificOcean

For instance, is Donald Trump's potential acquisition of Greenland through bribery and military force against Denmark going to upset this Biodiversity Beyond National Jurisdiction Agreement?

Because I'm in the camp that now feels all sides are wrong on the issue of how to better treat our environment. Both the left and the right need to get their affairs in order. I ask that the public through its leaders stop giving the narrative over to the corporations who are at the helm of economics, for one.

Of course Donald Trump is a pedophile heathen rapist asshole who buys his way around political office. How he was elected non-consecutively for two terms for the second time in American history is anybody's wild fucking guess.

But at the same time, the new (or old) world order with its constellation of nations that passed this historic biodiversity jurisdiction agreement has to know that what goes for one country, goes for all countries.

So, if Greenland's sovereignty or its autonomy is clawed back by Trump's bogus international real estate debacle, then will the rest of the world claim that since Greenland is now illegally annexed that the whole biodiversity agreement is voided internationally? Because a bad leader working in an international role would try that just to gum up the works and appease Trump. We've seen this time and time again in American politics with the GOP. They are sick mofos and they are pretty sinister. Most of the Congressional GOP including that traitorous Senator Josh Hawley, have been more or less successful insurrectionists in more than just the name since January 2021.

Because, that is exactly how the modern and rapidly aging octogenarian politicians across the world now think, including those in leadership within the United States. "It's mine or it's yours. We want it all or instead nothing at all. Live or die." Extremism in both the political and economic worlds has been running too fast and too well. Those folks without the influence, the functioning votes to vote the bad ones out of office, or those without any real capital are not easily able to change anything from within or more to the point change anything from outside the system anymore.

Our votes are being hijacked by elements of the corporatocracy. Our agreements and treaties to sustain the oceans won't help the oceans or any humans for that matter if the world's politicians can be bought off or paid to look the other way for a short while.

Just ask the descendants of the Native American tribes who were screwed by US President No. 7 Andrew Jackson. When those treaties were written in good faith during the 1820's the US government was somehow at the same time using the badly written agreements and the conspiracy of silence to drive out the Natives Americans from their own lands.

I saw osuosl.org/blog/osl-future/ a few months ago and thought it might be a good idea to donate a bit in order to help them support open source projects. I regret this decision now. They keep sending me generic emails about their university, about alumni, and about funding, and absolutely do not honour their unsubscribe pages. I ended up blocking 4 of their domains on my email server. Shame.

A step-by-step guide to #SavingSeeds

by Maud Powell, March 2010

"Summer and autumn are the seasons when many gardeners and farmers are out in their fields collecting vegetable, fruit and flower seeds for the next season. Seed saving is an excellent way to engage in the worldwide movement to preserve some of the older 'heirloom' varieties of seed.

"During the past two decades, many seed companies have consolidated, and regulations regarding the patenting of seed varieties have been loosened. As a result, seed companies routinely drop older varieties for newer ones, which are usually hybridized and/or patented.

"Organized grassroots #SeedSaving efforts, as well as inspired gardeners and farmers, have done an excellent job of saving many heirloom varieties.

"Seed saving is also a great way to develop seed lines that are well adapted to a particular environment. Saving seed from the healthiest plants year after year enables growers to select for traits that are most suitable for their growing conditions.

"Finally, seed saving encourages a deeper understanding of the life cycle of plants. We rarely see certain vegetable plants, such as lettuce, onions and carrots, in the reproductive stage of their lives. Saving seed provides growers with an education in plant genetics and breeding, which is usually left to universities and seed companies. Following are the four basic steps to saving seed."

I graduated on the 20th but my certificate needed fixing. It had the wrong name.

Now I feel okay officially saying that I got my PDC Pro!

I think some people hang out their shingle right after they get certified, but one of my instructors recommended that people take two years to get experience before doing that. I can see the sense in that. As I continue to study, I am already finding shortcomings in my final assignment.

Rocky Linux, Arch Linux and Debian. I assume many recognize these Linux distributions and likely use them everyday.

Despite their differences they share something in common. They rely on Oregon State University's Open Source Lab for part of their infrastructure.

Rocky Linux, Arch Linux and Debian are just 3 of the many open source projects that rely on OSU's OSL. A much longer list can be found on the OSU OSL website: osuosl.org/communities/

Unfortunately Oregon State University's Open Source Lab will be shut down later this year unless they acquire a total of $250,000 in donations by May 14, 2025. osuosl.org/blog/osl-future/

The future of open source lies within our hands.

With the latest funding predicament at #osuosl, I can't help but wonder how much money the public Oregon State University "invests" annually in college sports programs and infrastructure.

Their financial report curiously doesn't get into that much detail, but I bet it's significantly more than $0.25m.

Ugh, conflicted. They are doing the field across the highway so the struggle is between trying to get a good photograph for my presentation vs. not getting that stuff in/on me.

Good morning and TZAG, fediverse.

The crop dusters are out this morning. If they start doing the nearby fields I will have to shut up the house.

This is timely, as I am working on my sector map this weekend for school. Crop dusting threats come from both the east and the west. And also to some degree from the south.

Very good evening tonight on the #OregonStateUniversity campus listening to Dr. Ruha Benjamin’s keynote for the 43rd annual MLK Jr. Commemoration exploring the intersection of technology and imagination. Enjoyed it so much and learned even more!
