I'm super-excited that the stand will be returning to in 2026!

Last year we had an amazing experience meeting fellow enthusiasts and newcomers alike.

This year we plan to have even more phones, devices and distros for you to play with.

We're not the only FOSS/mobile stand and with any luck we'll be close together like last year.

@TheDragon @nbourdais Sounds like #SailfishOS could fit this, indeed. You probably don't need the Android app support, so the free SailfishOS community edition would suffice. And you could use one of the many community ports, enlarging your available device range. I remember SFOS being quite snappy even on the slow #Pinehone 1. SailfishOS is very much #LinuxMobile. The UI is proprietary though. There's #nemoMobile as alternative, but I have never tried it.

Nemomobile in February 2025

It’s been a while since the last update. We’ve been migrating Nemo to Qt6, fixing compatibility issues, updating upstream components, and tackling Manjaro’s package changes. Notable progress includes Lipstick fixes, merged patches, and the Kremium compatibility layer for running Sailfish OS apps.

There's a lot of amazing work being done in the mobile Linux scene. But it's still far away from permanently removing me from my Nothing Phone 2a.

I'd still say that Sailfish is the best experience overall, a lot of good native apps, large community, solid system. Keeping an eye on #nemomobile.

I'd still prefer to use PostmarketOS + Plasma Mobile/Phosh if I could.

@martijnbraam this is the boring part. Question is how many failed builds you get in the end and how to fix them. After that comes fixing of errors in runtime. Still a huge amount of work. Try to add #nemomobile (-;
