Schön, habe jetzt auch wieder #qownnotes unter Linux #Lubuntu installiert und mit meiner managed #Nextcloud verbunden. Hat alles super geklappt. Unter Android verwende ich dann einfach die Nextcloud #Notes App. Muss mich nur noch etwas mit Qownnotes vertraut machen. Super, dass ich damit auch die Aufgaben übersichtlich synchronisieren kann, auf Android habe ich dafür #DAVx5 und #Tasks als App. Wieder ein kleiner Schritt für mehr digitale Unabhängigkeit. Ein momentaner "Use Case" ist mein Übeplan- und Protokoll für meine Hobbys #Gitarre und #Chor. #Notizenapp #Todo

Il existe des distributions éducatives (comme #PrimTux ou #Edubuntu) mais #Lubuntu sera plus polyvalent et tu peux aussi directement installer des logiciels éducatifs comme #Gcompris...

This is kind of strange bc there are so many #ubuntu. I use the standard desktop on my desktop replacement class laptop, but #lubuntu or Ubuntu Server on my fleet of mini PCs. And other #linux on #arm. It is not that the distribution question isn't relevant, it is just that even within the Ubuntu universe there are so many distros.

Bin jetzt versuchsweise auf den #Vivaldi Browser umgestiegen und bin bisher sehr zufrieden. Läuft runder als der #Firefox auf meiner alten Laptophardware mit #Lubuntu #Linux (Lenovo, aber mit neuer SSD und auf 16 GB RAM erweitert). Bei dieser Gelegenheit habe ich auch nur mal die Lesezeichen angelegt, die ich tatsächlich noch privat nutze. Wird dadurch schon mal alles viel übersichtlicher. Die Tabs-Position (frei wählbar) unten im Fenster fühlt sich auch gut an. Vivaldi-Konto lege ich noch an.

The other day, I booted up a #Ubuntu #2510 just to see how things are on the #Gnome #desktop. That #DestopEnvironment is not for me. #Kubuntu #2510 looked great and felt great, made me excited for #2604 #LTS. We are so lucky to have so much choice for pretty much everything. I think it is about time to fire up #virtualbox and take other flavours and #distros for a spin. It has been years since I have used #Xubuntu and longer for #Lubuntu. #OpenSource is just the best 😀

It's amazing to think the last time I suffered Sindows was 13 year ago. #Lubuntu was my first foray into Linux. Since then I've been from Arch to FreeBSD and everywhere in-between. Now thinking of possibly trying #Manjaro again after 5 year, or back to the Gekko because #OpenSuse doesn't get the love it deserves.

And no, there is no way in a firestorm I am doing Linux From Scratch.😜 ....again.

Etwas nervig, in letzter Zeit stürzt mir der #Firefox unter #Lubuntu Linux so ab, dass gar nichts mehr geht und nur noch der Ausschalter bleibt. Habe noch keine Lösung gefunden. Ist ein altes Laptop, läuft aber ansonsten gut und akzeptabel flott für meine Zwecke, da ich eine neue SSD und 16 GB Arbeitsspeicher in das alte Lenovo eingebaut habe. #Browser #Linux

I was able to get #Lubuntu 25.10 to install on the #HPStream7 tablet, but after a reboot I get a kernel panic.

I will keep trying, but anyone with any ideas.

I was given a HP Stream 7 tablet yesterday, Originally it ran Windows 8 - Which must have been highly optimized for this. It only has 1gb ram, and 32gb storage. With an #Intel #Atom Z3235G quad core. So I tried to install #linux on it. The biggest frustration I'm having with it thou, is the #EFI only supports #32bit boot. And I've only found #Antix to actually install, but I can't get wifi to work, or sound. I think #Lubuntu might work but it fails at installing grub i386.

I've on old cheap tablet that I want to use to try Lubuntu.
There's only a micro usb port I thought would work with a usb adapter to install it.

After many attempts it's clear it's only a charging port.
Later this evening I'll give it a try with an SD card.

After a power outage, I dont have anymore a wired connection on my lubuntu. The Wire is ok. sudo restart Network doesn't fix.

Installed #lubuntu on an old laptop computer, was very confused why the supposedly lightweight system was so slow, first I thought maybe it was just a crappy processor, but it turns out the screensaver service was for some reason constantly at 90%+ CPU usage.

Auf dem Rückweg nachhause, von einem Besuch, wo ich u.a. ein IBM Thinkpad T41 mit einem aktuellen Betriebssystem versorgt habe. Lief bisher mit #lubuntu, aber da gibts keine 32-bit Version mehr :mastogrin:
