@rovol Yeah bro. I also have the same question. On top of that, I'm just starting. So it's extra hard for me.
By any chance, do you know how to properly structure adwaita widgets/classes ?
why is gui programming so hard... @~@

I was kinda into learning #Rust but soon realized combing it with #Gtk / #libadwaita would be really out of my scope 😅. First app then, learning Rust 👍.

When I was starting to learn to configure #Neovim, the #typecraft 's playlist on YouTube really helped me.
There was a video on #libadwaita but it was outdated.
This one.

Hey 👋 #mastodon people. I have an idea for a concept and want to build an app for it. I really ❤️ how #libadwaita apps look and feel (very similar to material you). I was looking into the #gnomebuilder IDE and around some #Gtk documentation but it was tbh really confusing (since I'm absolute newbie).
I'm looking forward to some step-by-step guidance.

Probably the last change the the curve fitting dialog in Graphs for now. I've also added the ability to check the residuals of the fit visually.
The use-case here is so you can see that your variance is not dependent on your x-value. Like in the video you can see that an exponential fit has a smaller error, but the clear line in your residuals indicates that it's probably a worse fit than the linear one.
Just tagged Maps 50.alpha and libshumate 1.6.alpha for GNOME 50:
Containing, among others, the new sidebar redesign, public transit journey redesign, using Transitous for all public transit routingm, and porting of UI templates to Blueprint for Maps.
And for libshumate the option to compile without the vector renderer has been removed, the vector renderer has gained support for "global-state" expressions.

Constrict by Wartybix was accepted into GNOME Circle!
It compresses your videos to your chosen file size — useful for uploading to services with specific file size limits.
Congratulations and welcome! 🎉
It's a quiet NYE this year, in other words I have some time to mess around in Graphs while my wife is taking some rest before midnight.
Support for LibreOffice and MS Excell Spreadsheets is now mostly functional. Will be part of the next major release.
And of course happy 2026 to all :)
cannot express how badly I want my phone to run GNOME
this video is like 3 years old and it makes me crave a good linux phone
so excited for when a good linux phone is released in 2046

@wwarner That's great to hear. Like @frandavid100 , I would be also interested in knowing your vision for the Solitaire application compared to the old Aisleriot? Thanks for the new game!
I noticed that your game is #GTK4 and #libadwaita, while Aisleriot was already bitrotten, sits still on #GTK3 and the last relevant commit was Oct 13, 2024

I have to admit—I am a fan of the #gnome / #libadwaita #app landscape. 🥰
Here’s a small example: Blanket and Euphonica teaming up to play a deluxe ambient bedtime lullaby. 😇
I’m genuinely excited to try COSMIC for its #tiling and workflow features soon, but I’ll probably keep coming back to GNOME—if only for its cohesive visual language and the fantastic ecosystem of well-designed little apps. 😊
And who knows? Maybe GNOME 50 will surprise us all with its own take on tiling. 🤓
Someone should create a little Waypipe GUI utility app to appease the "You can't kill X11, #Wayland does not have a replacement for ssh -x !!!" crowd, but make it #libadwaita + #flatpak to still give them something to rebel about :blobpeek:
I mean, How Hard Can It Be™ to make a bookmarks frontend for "waypipe ssh user@server the_app" and tracking state (and an informative warning dialog when the server doesn't have waypipe installed), in the style of https://flathub.org/en/apps/de.swsnr.turnon ? 😏
I cannot express how cool this is. This is the first time I’m running Graphs on a mobile phone, and it just works. Quite nicely as well.
#GNOME and #libadwaita has really made it very easy to make your apps adaptive and behave nice on mobile phones. This is really powerful stuff. So many applications work really nicely on #PostMarketOS.
Just testing #Flutter app on #Phosh (and Android) with #GNOME #LibAdwaita ish theme. #LinuxMobile
