Know what's wild? Bit flags. Just learned how those work and it's so NEAT. Also, consequently, I finally understand how the heck binary counting works. I mean, on a basic level at least. It mystified me for way too long.
Thanks #GDquest!! (Tokodon isn't autocompleting their address right now lol)
I have a feeling I really love computer science, even if I'd be too slow for a proper CS course...

Just bought two courses on @gdquest ; THIS YEAR I'm going to get back into developing my games in Godot, for reals. :godot:
Also signed up for a year of access to Zenva Academy, although I feel like GDQuest's content is (much) higher quality. I've got some Zenva stuff from a Humble or Fanatic bundle that I should really go through.
I completed my 2nd session today doing the "Learn 2D Game Dev from zero with Godot 4" training course by @gdquest
I learned (or rehearsed I guess) some of the basics. The core of Godot games/gamedev is built up of Nodes, Scenes, Scripts and Signals! 😄
Next up is learning some basic GDScript.

I just got started with the "Learn 2D Game Dev from zero with Godot 4" training course, made by @gdquest 😃
I am hoping to learn the fundamentals needed to further build upon my Game Dev/Coding experience, so that I can realize some of the ideas I have.
Maybe I'll be able to participate and help in some FOSS projects as well, if I manage to stay consistent? Wish me luck! 👋

Following along the absolutely excellent #GDquest @gdquest courses for #Godot4, and I just learned about lambdas.
This is one of those concepts that feels like a new Zelda unlock. It's an absolute game-changer that I grasped how to use very simply...but how ELSE can I use it? Apparently they can get pretty crazy advanced!
I really like the thought of using them elegantly for things like power-ups...
#GDQuest out here with the best Godot courses for us alternative learners. Only a few modules in but it’s all high quality!
Liblast was mentioned in a short video by @gdquest - one of the (if not THE) largest Godot education channels on YouTube!

Thank you!
A friendly reminder from GDQuest for people migrating from Unity to Godot:
"Godot is NOT a friendlier rebound Unity."
"It's not open-source Unity. It's a tool in its own right that has grown in its own direction from the start."
- une scène top-down : collisions, animations, items à collecter.
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo #Godot4 port of https://github.com/GDQuest/godot-procedural-generation appears to have been done. time to go play around? #gamedev #godotengine #godot #gdquest #proceduralgeneration #procgen #yolo
Not a single word about augmented reality in the chat. Is it really just me that needs it? 🥲

A few days ago I discovered an interesting tutorial by #gdquest explaining how to save games in #godot using #gdscript
I tried to redo it somehow with #visualscript but I guess I still have to wait until this will be possible 🤷
It is still pretty amazing what I can achieve without writing #code in Godot
