We bought these little goldfish for our backyard pond this summer, tiny, barely an inch long. Since last year a few frogs froze there over winter, so we decided to bring everyone inside this time.

When we pulled them out, those “tiny” fish had tripled in size. So now these underwater monsters live in the aquarium, staring at us like landlords checking rent.

During the rescue operation, one bullfrog was gently relocated to the nearby stream. It was… not pleased. I like to think it’ll thank me in spring.
