I have one of those (actually twice the storage and an i9 CPU) and it is one of the best purchases I've ever made even though I paid more than double of that Black Friday deal. Amazing quality, extremely convenient format for lots of productivity.

I say "Win laptop" as my exploration for installing Linux on it taught me I should wait a bit with that, due to drivers/power-save etc for the double monitors.

So my secondary #Monitor in my #DualMonitor setup, stopped working.😢
It would seem the #Asus VG248QE #DisplayPort controller chip has gone bad & will no longer link.
So I'm down to 1 screen Asus VG278QR.
Good news the #HDMI Port on the VG248QE still works but HDMI only does 85Hz refresh rate, the DP port did 144Hz.
So I will give it to my mom's setup.
The timing just suck as I'm low on $ right now & my next monitor is going to be Asus XG27AQMR

Dual monitor advice: Purposely turn down the brightness of your "secondary" monitor.

What I'd really love is a way for my desktop environment (currently Gnome, but this should count for windows too) to automatically dim other when content goes fullscreen on one monitor. But for now, dimming the other monitor works. #tech #computers #dualmonitor

I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my monitor, and accessorized the desk to to allow me to work while standing up.

For a while I thought that a 5" screen upgrade may not be enough, so I planned to moving to a #DualMonitor setup, but forgot to consider the increase in resolution will also increase my desktop real estate.

I can now dedicate extra columns for interesting hashtags from the #fediverse. I'll test dual monitor when I get the DP cable.

There’s a bug in #macOS with my #M1 #MacMini. It has to do with a #DualMonitor setup. I have one monitor connected over HDMI. My second monitor connects via USB-C to a DisplayPort connection.

When I resume the Mac from sleep, the DP monitor fails to wake most of the time. I can only wake the monitor by pressing the ESC key twice, or disconnect/reconnect the cable. If the HDMI monitor is disconnected, the DP monitor resumes every time. I have never had an issue with the HDMI monitor.
