When you don’t have much nice to say, um, how about a #TipOfDay? I just got 2 of these wonderful spoon/spatulas and they are perfect for the way I cook with many meals. Especially nice to use in my wok and when I use ceramic or granite ware pans. They are wood handles with silicone on the scoop end. I posted 2 photos. Hopefully only the first shows up on a glance through my stream because it’s vegetarian but not the second.

See, it’s possible for me to not post something the P-word. Even though when I think of Minneapolis I am thinking a lot of F-words.

Second photo of same wok, this time the chunks of chicken and the rice is added. The rice is a blend of wild rice and long grain white. Bragg’s Liquid Aminos is added for flavor. The black spatula scoop is on the right.

Another Wok experiment gone pretty ok...

I used Kenjis "The Wok" book to learn about velveting meat which was a plus --Im definitely going to keep trying that to get better. Blanching the broccoli before the stirfry made a huge difference too.

Tried out this recipe again and it turned out much better than the last time.

The color still isn't right, makes me wonder if an ingredient is missing from the recipe :ponethinking:

Improvised stir fry: Whatever I found in the fridge, which was beans from the garden, half a zucchini from another garden, half a paprika, half an onion and half of yesterdays stir fry with mushrooms, sour cream and sausage 😆

Served with boiled buckwheat, which despite a reputation as gulag food is actually a nice grain.
