German artists Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth created this place out of zinc and steel left over from local mining operations and its main purpose is to exist as an unusual venue to view the gorgeous German countryside around it.

While a little disappointing that physics don’t allow for passage around the loop, you can still work off that amusement park lunch at the speed of a turtle on a structure that represents the speed of a tiger.

With 249 steps making up the walkway and LED lights so that the climb can be appreciated after dark, this twisted metal track offers a great view during day or night.

Nach 6 Wochen Unpäßlichkeiten (Bronchitis gefolgt von Gastritis.... autsch), gestern endlich wieder etwas aktiv gewesen.
Nach einem #Spaziergang zur #Halde #Rheinelbe in GE, ging es zur Installation #TigerAndTurtle in Duisburg.
Ausklingen ließen wir dann den Tag in der #Niederrhein-Therme. Wieder unter Zuhilfenahme der #Ruhrtopcard. 4h für 3 Euro Aufpreis. Yeah!

Eine Halde (Abraum der Industrie, renaturiert) mit einer turmartigen Installation aus gebrauchten Stahlbetonsteinen auf der Spitze. Hat irgendwie ein aztekischen Aussehen.
Wird auch als Himmelstreppe bezeichnet.
Der obere Teil ist weitgehend vegetationslos.
Der gestaltete Berg spiegelt sich in einem kleinen See.
Es ist sonnig. Blauer Himmel mit einigen Wolkenfetzen.

Im oberen Teil ist eine achterbahnartige Installation aus begehbaren Treppen (bis auf den Looping) zu sehen.
Im Vordergrund die Schatten von mir und meiner Frau.
Ein Weg führt gebogen am Tiger and Turtle vorbei.
