Provavelmente a parte de recuperar é a mais simples. O difícil é encontrar o diacho do arquivo numa montanha de arquivinhos... Fiz logo um script shell pq a quantidade tá brutal.

Should have known better to mess around with parted after a long convention weekend. Did a fucky-wucky, uwu.

Good news is I back up this machine regularly and it's mostly just used for monitoring zoneminder and proxmox, so nothing of value was lost.

Anyways always make sure your first command in parted is 'select <correct/device>' or you will be unhappy like me. And no, testdisk could not save me here.

Un utilitaire #logiciellibre qui a fait ses preuves et qui j'espère va pouvoir me sortir encore une fois dune mauvaise passe. Potentiellement 800mo à récupérer ..que les dieux de la data soient avec moi :il_faut_un_peu_reflechir:

Status update: running gparted data recovery on the mini #Debian file server produced no results after 8 days. Now I am running #Testdisk on the mini server with one of the drives and #Photorec running on my main pc with the other drive.

Hopefully this will save a handful of my picture folders that I did not back up elsewhere.

💾 Recovered my external drive using the legendary testdisk utility.

macOS wouldn’t mount it, diskutil was hanging, and Finder showed nothing. Turned out the partition table was marked as “deleted” after an improper eject.

TestDisk helped me reassign it as primary, and boom - data back, no loss.

🧠 Lesson: ExFAT is fragile. Always eject properly.

Je tente de récupérer un fichier #KeepassX depuis une partition endommagée.
Avec #Testdisk j'obtiens plusieurs fichiers kdbx.
Il y a des fichiers qui s'ouvrent avec le MP, mais qui sont vides, d'autres qui ne reconnaissent pas le MP, et d'autres avec un problème d'en-tête.
Il y a aussi de grandes différences de taille, de 20Ko à plus de 2 gigas.
Vous auriez des pistes pour ce genre de cas ?

یک اتفاقی برای microSD گوشی‌م افتاد، با #testdisk توانستم شاخه‌ها را برگردانم ولی پرونده‌های داخل شاخه‌ها را نه. یعنی شاخه‌های خاصی برگشته‌اند. راهی سراغ دارید؟ خیلی عکس درش داشتم.

It was nice to wake up to not bootable desktop after hard reset due electric shortage of building.
Trying to restore my desktop main SSD. Still not sure if the issue with #ext4 or hard drive itself.
It complains about superblock, out of boundary partitions and some other scary things.
Trying to backup files (about 20h and 175Gb already extracted, not sure how much is there in total) with #testdisk.
Next step would be to try to backup root partition before I play around with it

It's just as well I wasn't relying on #KlennetRecovery or #GetDataBack to recover my data: neither of them work on logical (mounted) file systems, the way that #TestDisk does.

I was hoping one of them would have some way to repair the master file table, as I'd seen a hint that could be done, and it would make sense given that all the data is right there on the disk.

The long recovery effort has begun.

#TestDisk is copying my old secondary backup from the old encrypted 5Tb drive onto the new 6Tb one. Not bothering with encrypting the new one right now, for speed. Hoping the secondary is physically ok and can be used with #encryption again after some fixing. The 6Tb drive will be overwritten, too.

The big shiny clean laptop belongs to work, not me. It has more USB ports and a newer internal hub. My own is two inches smaller and covered in dust.

photorec apparaît dans les diapositives de la formation SecNum Academie de l’ #ANSSI.

Le voleur avait utilisé l’appareil photo, photorec a permis de récupérer des photos impliquant d'autres personnes dans un vol de grande envergure.
